Destiny 2 manual ship flying
Wouldn't this be a cool idea? Being able to fly through space yourself instead of loading screens? Maybe even a battle or two with your ship would be pretty awesome. Thoughts?

2 RepliesI think ship battles and manual flight should be an option/part of the game, but not the main mode of travel. It would get pretty irritating if you're trying to get to a certain place or activity such as the nightfall and all of a sudden you're in a battle. I'd compare it to trying to speed run through an RPG with random encounters. They slow you down when all you want is to get somewhere. That said, if there were in flight missions you can choose like any other, I would enjoy it.

Consider how long they took to implement this in WOW and then how long it took to make it the standard in all the zones and you pay for WOW every month. Destiny doesn't take in that kind of funding but if it would help I would gladly pay a monthly fee.

It would be, then you could take some time to board a fallen ketch or something and sabotage it, that would be cool. flight mode is great in zone of the Enders, warframe, and so on. It's a shame bungie didn't put it in

I wouldn't totally rule it out. They experimented with it in Reach. Probably not for years though.
