I personally, for several reasons do not want the addition of vault space! Among other things, I feel like gun hoarding every purple and exotic you come across can make the game feel like a trophy hunt. I think that with the way the space is now, it forces us more veteran players to make tough choices on what is worth keeping around. Now this seems to be a really unpopular idea, as everyone seems to demand vault space, but is there anyone out there that agrees with me?
Edit: So far the opposition is huge! I was expecting something like this but you guys sure feel strongly about this!
Edit2: The overwhelming consensus is that I am really really wrong on this. I appreciate the comments, and if the added space will improve some people's gaming then I can't be mad about it!
Edit3: Looks like I lost

Edited by tntbabin: 5/14/2015 6:16:30 PMBetween my three characters and vault, haven't run out of space yet (thanks to the vault space increase), but I'm at that point again where it has become frustrating to swap weapons between characters. I've got multiple staple guns that I'm trying to max out and give one to each character (Ghorn, Red Death, Icebreaker, Fatebringer, Corrective Measure, etc) but I'm also trying to keep other weapons I get so I can experiment with them a bit. As I said, I'm not outta room, I'm just finding it more difficult/time consuming to swap gear, and will continue to have difficulty until either I find the time to max out all multiples of my staple weapons so I don't have to trade them around or the Vault Space gets increased. I will say that with new DLC dropping next week and more DLC in the future increasing the vault space further seems like a no-brainer to me. It's workable at the moment for those of us that like to experiment with different weapon/perk combos but I don't see it staying that way. Hell, I think that House of Wolves by itself is gonna strain peoples' vaults, forget future DLC.

Lost? You got -blam!-ing destroyed!

1 ReplyWow this post is so dumb whoever this guy is must be so stupid. Hes probably in this clan called MSK

:D yeah

I swear this thread needs to be destroyed. Before 1.1.1. these kinds of crappy threads ran more rampant than today's Gjallarhorn threads.

Edited by blaster425: 5/14/2015 6:07:40 PMIsnt it just another way to get to your vault. I don't think it's more space necessarily. Edit: I misread, so yes. Why would it be a problem? You get to try out more weapons you like without having to discard other ones
-
This is the dumbest thing I've ever read on this forum. Why should you care what someone else has or wants to keep? Why would that both you? Lol And why would you be against more space? Makes absolutely no sense at all. Lol

Veteran players? Hoarding? Some of us store weapons in the vault to dish out to a guardian before a mission vice outfitting each with a full load. I'm glad everyone else feels the same way as it doesn't end up being that challenging to program in more vault space. Cheers

There needs to be a separate trophy vault for exotics.
-
2 RepliesThey just added vault space feg. So suk it up or git gud fegg
-
I have 25 legendary engrams in my vault and require more space to store more till HOW drops

-
There is literally nothing negative about having more vault space.
-
I want to have all the raid exotic and iron banner stuff so ya i need more vault space
-
1 ReplyWe need a vault reduction not an increase
-
2 RepliesCollecting is and should be a huge part of the game. Hell, if you don't have 3 characters vault space gets small really quick. I don't want duplicates so i use the vault to move items between char's. The vault app is a great idea, god knows why they just couldn't give you a user interface with the vault and all your characters on one screen so you could move directly char to char to vault etc.... Another instance of "almost" getting it right. Common theme with bungie/activision. Almost. Almost had a story, almost fixed a glitch, almost "balanced" pvp without destroying it and wrecking guns for pve users. Ok, rant done. I am all for double, or triple vault space. And a decent user interface!

My reaction to reading this.

In what dimension is more storage space a bad thing? Amazing poll. More waffle or more dirty diapers? You decide.
-
We don't need the space, but I want to have it. Having those trophy weapons or those sleepers that may come in handy when you find a weapon type you like is always fun. My vault has never been full, so I really can't complain.
-
The reality of it is... I don't care so much anymore! With the new app feature that allows us to switch our stuff from vault to inventory in a second, I'm all set! Before that, it was neverending Tower runs to store everything in the vault so I could juggle my best gear from character to character. Now? My maxed out Gjallarhorn is never more than just a few swipes away on my iPad. But hey, I get the whole obsessive collection thing. Besides, it can't hurt.

Vault Space is NEEDED There is no question. If you wanna be a "veteran" and make those choices you can still do that.... We NEED space.
-
I honestly could care less because I only keep the weapons that are either useful or special to me. For example, Hawkmoon, it was the first exotic I ever got from a Nightfall.

1 ReplyI vote for you to be removed from the forums

The trophy hunt is fun though!

Trophy hunting is the only reason to play the game past lvl 20.
