Why did YOU quit Destiny?
I quit because, well...
•Repetition
•RNG
•Lack of Story
•Lack of Content
•Bad Servers
•Bad (although slightly amusing) Community
•Lack of Attention to Players (Bungie)
•DeeJ Sugarcoats
•RNG
•Repetition
EDIT:
•9-0 Trials Elitists
•Maxed Out Elitists
•Gjallarhorn Elitists
•All of those types of Elitists put into one Elitist type
•Too many complaints
•RNG
•Repetition
•Cut Content for Players w/out DLCs
•Lack of Optional Matchmaking
•Lack of End-Game Content
•Lack of Vault Space
•Lack of Inventory Space
•Lack of Player Customization
•Lack of Optional Matchmaking
•And of course the GRIND!
Hint hint that means RNG and Repetition!
EDIT: Thanks for the 700+ comments! Oh, and to those start posting hate comments, all you're doing is bumping the post. So thanks to you, too!
EDIT: I did a complete makeover of the thread due to misunderstanding. This is NOT a RANT THREAD or a TROLL/ATTENTION THREAD, but rather a feedback post. Read below if you don't understand.
For those of you who don't understand:
This is the feedback forum. I'm sure Bungie would like to know why players are leaving their game.
EDIT: I have mostly quit Destiny, anyways. 90% of the endgame activities are locked out from me because I:
•Don't have a Gjallarhorn
•Am not lv34
•Have an old gen system
•Have no friends who will willingly play Destiny
So I can only do content with matchmaking.

So I can only do content with MATCHMAKING.

EDIT: 1200 comments! Hoorah!
EDIT: Here are the best ones so far
This:
There is no way to earn the Digital Collector’s bonus items for those who already own Destiny, short of buying the entire game again for $80. This means that someone who hasn’t played any Destiny can come into The Taken King with a class item that speeds their own progression, three new unattainable emotes, and three unique shaders while those who have been around since Day 1 would have to shell out the big bucks if they wanted to enjoy the same luxuries.
Yes, they get the Founder’s set, which is a thoughtful gesture – but it’s an incomplete one. There is absolutely zero reason for Bungie to withhold anything from its most dedicated Destiny fans, and anything short of offering full access to the new stuff for a price that doesn’t include re-buying the game is at best a seriously disappointing miscalculation, and at worst a cynical grab at more money.
Who would truly appreciate three unique shaders? Who has been clamoring for more personality in the form of emotes? Who would die for the ability to speed up the grind with new XP Class items? Bungie is acting like they don’t know. The answer, is Destiny’s current players, who are vocal about their desires and do not wish to pay $80 for a few digital items.
It’s in the labeling, too: the “Collector’s” Edition. Destiny is, in itself, a game of collection. A lot of its players have been spending the better parts of their weeks for the past year amassing a collection of weapons, armor, sparrows, emblems, shaders, and class items to be proud of. And now, unless they have $80 to spend, their collection will be incomplete. The name is bait, and it’s frustrating to have to purposefully not rise to it.
And who’s most likely willing to bite the bullet and purchase the Collector’s Edition, anyway? Is it a new player? No. Someone who is tentatively reaching out to explore a franchise they’re unfamiliar with is generally not going to commit to the most expensive version of that game. The Collector’s Edition ensnares players who already have most of it, but have got to have it all.
It’s so important for a game like Destiny to be able to attract new players. They breathe new life into the community, and are instrumental in helping to sustain the growth of a massive franchise like Destiny. The Taken King and its Collector’s Edition are certainly jam-packed with enough stuff to entice them in droves.
Unfortunately, it’s the veterans that are getting left out. Whether or not a longtime Destiny player gets a suitable thank-you gift means nothing for the bottom line, but when they don’t, discontent is not far behind. The last thing Bungie wants is for its biggest fans to feel slighted, and judging by the collective reaction to the pre-order packages, it’s safe to say that many do.
Bungie needs to evaluate how important it is to withhold exclusives for those who are paying for the Collector’s Edition. It would be extremely easy to include the emotes, shaders, and class items with the VIP Founders package, free of charge – or even sell them for $4.99, etc. This would be the perfect way to reconcile the mammoth deficit of $40 that it would require to get a chance at the Collector’s Edition content, and would confirm that Bungie feels there’s nothing that its faithful don’t deserve access to.
The Taken King doesn’t have to do much to have a better reception than The Dark Below, but in announcing its availability and pricing, Bungie has already made a step in the wrong direction.
Fortunately, the ship could be easily righted, if Bungie proves that they do indeed listen to their community and understand their needs. Looking ahead to growing the playerbase is fine, but right now, Destiny’s current community needs to feel supported by Destiny.”

The reason is in my profile status.

Bump... Hehehe...
-
Not enough content in the pve side. Terrible leveling system. No ranked matchmaking in crucible. Bungie lies, and can't decide what to do.
-
2 Replies-Because bungie picks favorites (ps over Xbox) -Because bungie has a lack of festive events (like at Christmas time you would expect them to do something special.... Nope) -Because of kids constantly -blam!-ing my mom -being excluded for not having a certain quality -Assholes who think that they're better than everyone else -Being to easy to level up

I didn't quit but I haven't played in a while. I find myself on here instead looking for a reason to sign in again. I want to play this game. I want to really enjoy it. It has so much potential. I just don't. It's boring in its current state. I really hope Bungie ups it's game and sorts it out but with Activision at the wheel... ...I won't buy the expansions or the next game in the series. You didn't do enough to hook me in. I don't care what happens next, the story just wasn't interesting enough and there wasn't a single memorable character. All of the worlds in the game are destroyed, and they feel it, the way I feel every time I pick up the controller to play... Empty.

1 ReplyBecause of Desticles. Plus Dying Light has a weak story, but it's super duper fun.
-
Because PvP is mainly filled with laggers, cheaters, and broken weapons. That was the last thing I was doing in the game, I got tired of the PvE side.

Bump.

Bump once again
-
I have dramatically played less over the past 3 weeks. I still get on to roll with friend but not much to do anymore....add that with having to start over in a few weeks my mind is contemplating becoming a permanent casual guardian.

I haven't quit Just taking a break until TTK drops I have faith in Bungie and the team that this will be a good expansion. If not, it's $40 gone. I can live without it Until then though, I'm wrecking thugs in Batman :)
-
If you're going to quit the game just do it. Don't go and be bitch about it. And just so you know quitting means not coming back and posting shit about how you're going to "quit" the game because you're not good at it. Terrible excuse to quit.
-
All same reasons. Only playing for nightfalls.
-
Quitting is an absolute. Why are you still here?
-
All the same reasons. Bump.

The real slim shady

No matchmaking and everything was repetitive. Also bad story left a bad taste in my mouth.
