If you guys haven't heard this 11 year old used shareplay to "cheat" his characters to getting Level 32 but ended deleting his characters and Exotics (Dick move there). So with this Poll we will hope that Sony or Bungie will permanently ban this arse (it's a joke...) Don't use shareplay that's the lesson for all players with a PS. This is a joke... He did not violate anything, However I do feel bad for the kid. Kermit violated the Sony Terms of Service it states on section 7A that you are Prohibited from engaging deceptive or misleading practices (Just found it...)
EDIT: if you're going to chose No then explain otherwise it's a bit pointless if you don't.
EDIT 2: The adult did push it too far.
EDIT 3: I'm for both sides... It was the kids fault for being irresponsible but the adult was being a dick.
EDIT 4: I'm not hating on anyone. I respect the opinions but some are extreme...
EDIT 5: Wow. 1200+ replies...
This is basically the next "the update we'll never get" I'm not spamming this. It will die in a day of so...

2 RepliesQuestion is did he violate the tos of sony or bungie, if so then once proved the punishment can follow. Probably not a ban, but suspended from the network for awhile. As for the kid, he made the choice and has to live with that. Cant always have a safety net to catch you, welcome to life.

4 RepliesWith the amount of hate mail Kermit has been receiving, I think he has learned his lesson to not pick on kids. And the kid has learned his lesson too. If everyone just hands the kids stuff back then how will he ever learn.

8 RepliesI dont think he should be banned, suspended maybe, as a punishment, but not banned. I will explain. I read a post on here yesterday from a guy that said Kermit did the same exact thing to one of his friends a while ago. They contacted bungie and their reply was something like: sorry for what happened to you but gear and weapons cannot be given back to you after thet have been deleted: it was something like that anyways. So he has done this at least once before and it was brought to the attention of bungie and they did nothing about it except offer an apology to the effected player. But now that he did it to a kid its a huge deal. Why wasnt something done the first time he was reported for doing this? The fact that this time it was a kid should have no impact on wether he gets banned or not. The persons age should not be the deciding factor in this, at all. If bungie really cared they would have done something the first time he was reported and not just looked the other way. Yeah it sucks he did this to a kid, but the fact remains that he has done this at least once before, was reported for it directly to bungie and nothing was done about it. Now that its a kid deej has something to say about it. Too little too late imo. Bungie could have prevented kermit from doing this to this kid a while ago and didn't. Kermit wasnt banned the first time he did this and he shouldnt be banned this time just because it happens to be a kid this time. Age should not now be a factor in determining his punishment when he has done the same thing in the past. I am in no way defending kermit. I think what he did was pretty shady and that he must be one miserable person to want to do something like this, to any one of us that play this game. If nothing happens to him at least have the solace to remember that he has basically banned himself. Everyone now knows his name and the majority of us will refuse to play with him. But bungie, you seriously dropped the ball with this guy when he was reported the first time and you did nothing about it. Don't act like the knight in shining armor when you could have prevented this from happening in the first place. I place just as much blame on bungie for what happened as i do kermit.

The little kid shouldn't trust people he has literally just met. His own fault

Edited by Jearr: 2/23/2015 4:48:13 PMBecause Kermits is a €unt and there is no cure for being a €unt Banning won't help

If this didn't go viral, then all we would have is what happens to thousands of players. People pick up what they lost and move on. Really guys, it is a lesson that a lot of us had to learn the hard way when we were young. Made us a better person in the long run. If anything, I showed this vid to my son, and now he has a better idea of what to expect from people on the internet...so I guess thanks for the learning vid?

Where's the "enough of these goddamn threads" option?

3 RepliesIf the dumb -blam!- kid didn't have a twitch account none yall would give 2 shits
-
They should both be banned for stupidity
-
People who show proof that they are trying to cheat should be banned. Ban that punk kid
-
1 ReplyNo...'cause -blam!- you, that's why.

1 ReplyEdited by Tmacdec: 2/22/2015 3:17:39 PMDidn't psn itself ban him. He broke PSN rules so they banned him. Unfortunately Bungie didn't foresee this kind of attack so he really can't be banned, even though I'm hoping this changes soon. But as far as I've heard PSN stepped up and threw the ban hammer from their end.

2 RepliesDid he break any rules in the agreements that are accepted when you play Destiny or use the Share Play thing? If no, then he shouldn't be banned. Just being a jerk isn't a reason to be banned.
-
8 RepliesTrolling and bullying are two different things people
-
Ban the kid too this was all a setup for his twitch account.
-
Don't ban him he did nothing to break terms of service. He is just a dick. You should never give access to your account to anyone you don't know. And even then it's not a good idea. Not only that he gave with the intention of cheating. Kid has learned his lesson hard way. To reward him now removes consequences of his own actions. It's a game and he can replay do get gear and weapons if he wants. If not that will be his choice. But to ban Kermit guy to far he is an ass and I will not ever play with someone like that. But a ban is to far.

This kid cheated. Plain and simple. If you defend him you are saying cheating is OK. Cheaters as we know are the pedophiles of gaming are you ppl really defending that? When lance Armstrong cheated, he was stripped of his medals and awards. This kid cheats and you all say poor little baby? That's what's wrong with America. This kid was taught a lesson by a stranger since his parents obviously don't care and aren't going to do it ( see letting him play a violent game he isn't old enough to play, and talk to strangers online to cheat). If you defend this kid you have lousy ethics since you obviously think it isn't a big deal. Hope your wife never cheats on you since that won't be a big deal. Cheating is cheating no matter age, race, religion, or sex. This kid got exactly what he deserved.
-
Its not don't use share play but only with people you know and trust
-
While I believe he should be banned for deleting the kids toons, ignorance is no excuse. This kid should not have game shares with a person he didn't know at all.
-
5 RepliesYes. What he did was malicious. There was no reason to do that. It doesn't matter how naive the kid was. The guy was a complete ass, period. Why some of you continue to focus on the kid rather than that asshole move is beyond me. For example, a thief you invited in is still a thief. Yeah, you were dumb to let them in, but the thief is still a scumbag ladies and gentlemen.

1 ReplyThis is why you don't buy a Ps4 This is why you only play age appropriate games This is why you don't walk away from someone CONTROLLING YOUR CONSOLE This is why you don't film 3:2 This is why you always eat your vegetables
-
4 RepliesSTFU WITH THIS STUPID SHIT ALREADY. -blam!- kermit and -blam!- that stupid crybaby kid too. They can both SMA
-
Windmill cuz reasons!

He did nothing against the rules, the kid willingly gave him his account information.
