1 ReplyThat moment when the desticles realize that the Vex "god" was killed by a level 18 with green weapons.

Covenant - people who vote vex probably never played halo or even know Their power

7 RepliesEdited by ROBERTO jh: 5/2/2015 4:44:42 PMSimple way to refute the whole "Vex don't erase humanity because of the Traveller" thing. The Cabal are not protected by the Traveller yet the Vex can't erase them from Mars. Ergo, the Vex can't just erase anyone willy nilly. Best they can do is maybe board Covenant ships, but their teleportation range is limited it would seem. Covenant outgun, outmaneuver and outsmart the Vex. The Vex outnumber the Covenant. Covenant win nearly all engagements based on the limited number they show committing to any battle. So the Covenant win.

1 ReplyThe vex paint their nails.

11 Repliescovenant by far a single grunt could solo the entire vex species

Location is everything

Even wothout going through time the vex would essentially be masters of guerrilla warfare (constant hit and run) being able to see through each other nothing would live

Seems like Destiny fans only know how to make vs threads confirmed 12 year olds.

1 ReplyPlasma weapons would rek Vex. Period.

35 RepliesWhy the -blam!- is Vex winning? Has gaming been overrun with Desticles once again? The covenent would obliterate the vex in so many ways that I can't even be bothered to type them all down

4 RepliesSo many Halo fanboys here think that the covenant would win simply because Halo was better...
-
4 RepliesComing from a halo fan boy, the vex are just far too superior to the covenant. I think the covenant could win against fallen, the hive, and it could be a pretty even match up against the cabal (but maybe not since their practically a super military). I mean just think about it. Have some goblins and minotaurs teleport on to the covenant ships before they can even land or get into formation. They would be blind sided and not know what to do. Grunts already cower in fear when 'the demon' sneaks up on them and melees a few to death lol. And if you don't catch the 'demon' reference, then you haven't played enough halo to even qualify for this debate.

7 RepliesWe haven't seen the whole "erased from existence" outside of the Vault. Therefore, I can assume for the moment that that power is limited to the Vault. If it were not, they would just do that to the Cabal and win Mars. No one here understands how massive the Covenant fleet is. If one ship gets overrun by Vex, the rest would just destroy it and kill hundreds of vex. They have a network of only a million units. The Covenant have thousands of ships. If a Supercruiser was to be overrun, it would take thousands or tens of thousands of vex to overpower the crew, with massive casualties. Then they could destroy it and kill the rest of the attackers. Besides that, the plasma weaponry (handheld) possessed by the Covenant would kill/mangle the Vex in just a few shots. That isn't even counting orbital bombardment. All the Covies would do is glass the planets until the Vex try and stop them. Then all this would happen.

2 RepliesInteresting spinoff: Who's more powerful the Traveler or the Forerunners? My money is on Forerunners

6 RepliesOne word.
HUNTERS
9 RepliesEdited by SmilyYellowFace: 4/25/2015 3:01:14 PMIf the vex were as powerful as they were made to seem in the lore, then they would win. But the vex we actually encounter are trash. One guardian is able to kill their 'god,' and six are able to kill the most powerful vex mind known to humanity. Meanwhile, 6 Guardians would get bent over and -blam!-ed by the Arbiter.

1 ReplyDestiny plebs...

2 RepliesHonestly it'd be the Vex over the covenant. From the lore you perceived as I have you should be able to tell. Also this goes far beyond the Halo timeline. Last City on Earth right? Guardians were brought back to fight the darkness, a.k.a the Vex/Hive. Granted Atheon was a bitch to a Gjallahorn, take that away and put in a regular rocket that only tracks vehicles, take away the Time Aegis Relic. What do the guardians have then? Not a lot aside from just weapons and tactics same as you would in Halo. Plus it takes anywhere from 2-6 people to kill in VoG. However in Halo you can do stand alone shit in Halo. Also so what if the covenant can glass a planet. A lot of good that will do when the God within the Black Garden isn't in any known space or time. Like it's within its own dimension. As for the weapons the vex have.. Heh where do I even start. The weapons are all the same. I'm quite positive if the Vex can turn an entire planet into a Machine and be able to bend space and time to transport themselves anywhere, they would destroy the entire Covenant. Also think about the Covenant use ships, send a few Gordons to the Bridge of a ship, a few supplicants to the power core, and top it all off with maybe a few dozen Goblins and Hobs within the ranks of a ship. Yeah the covenant may have more beings with them. But what good will that do if the Vex have a way to control time? Personally if I were a vex I'd go back to day one where the Covenant arises and I'd blow them all up right then and there. Besides the Covenant isn't a race it's a faction between Jackals Hunters Grunts Elites Brutes and god knows what.

Oh...wow...
-
Unyielding Hierophant at full capacity would wreck them.
-
There are less Vex..
-
Covenant because the vex already use covenant weapons.
-
1 Reply
Vex, they would win a war of attrition which is what it would turn down Into. The vex might also have a higher technological advantage. And the covenant wouldn't be able to get rid of planets the vex completely converted. People say guardians took them down easy but it's the exact same thing for the covenant where Spartans took them down.
