I've been hearing that they are legal to use. Is this true? I would like to know, not sure if it benefits you in PVP or in Destiny overall. If anyone has insight into this let me know!
Any recommendations on modded controllers. How does this one look and sound to you? I honestly just want the rapid fire to shoot my scout rifles without having to lift my finger.

Edit: I think everyone is getting the wrong idea. I have an illness that I cramp with repetitive movements. Lifting my finger up and down for a long time cramps my hands up. I have VoC but I don't want to be limited to that weapon. I only ask to find out if it works to fire in full auto, same fire RATE. I'm not looking to increase the rate of fire of guns to work in my benefit. Sorry for not stating this earlier.

6 RepliesI wonder if rewiring my crouch button to the back of my controller would be considered bad...

People who blatantly lag switch or manipulate network are all still running around with their, "rewards" from flawless trials or Iron Banner so I think the answer is yes, however, there is no firmware update for those controllers so when a new game comes out the mod features probably won't work and you'll just have a very expensive controller than does nothing extra at all.
-
In trials, big no. In anything else, who gives a -blam!-?
-
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Just imagine a full auto mida multitool
-
Imagine a full auto sword. The possibilities... You could kill oryx, or crota, or atheon..
-
I want a rapid fire turbo controller for PVP Why? Why not? If you get an advantage use it. Play smarter not harder. Crutches are made for a reason.
-
Fire rate in destiny is hindered by individual weapons, therefore if you're trying to use it to shoot faster than the weapon will allow its going to skip and you may not land that final shot for a kill. There is a perk in the game that allows full auto, so I wouldn't report you. Good luck and have fun.

5 RepliesI'm not sure how anyone would know if your using a modded controller
-
I have one and I used it for possibly a week until I realized it didn't change a thing in destiny because each guns rate of fire is the fastest it can shoot. Whereas in CoD guns may have a specific rate of fire, but you can manipulate it
-
That type of mod is fine, others that greatly increase aim assist wouldn't be allowed
-
15 RepliesI think legal, since it all depends on game mecanics. For example, rapid fire allows you to fire as fast as possible, a scout with a low RoF will not suddenly start firing 2x as fast. It will fire whenever the game lets you fire again.
-
1 ReplyYou're allowed to use a scud controller I assume. I just don't know why you'd want to: Destiny isn't a competitive game.
-
2 RepliesA modded a controller? What the heck is that? And more importantly, how would that be able to work within Destiny without Destiny also being modded?
-
4 RepliesUse a jitter while your at it scrub

6 RepliesEdited by FORSCYTH: 9/6/2015 4:19:43 PMIt depends, if you've modified the controller to change the way an in game mechanic works then NOT okay, if you've modded it for comfort/feel then that's fine. BTW. I've removed trigger springs, changed thumb sticks and added cloth tape to mine, it changes nothing gameplay wise. (Apart from an accidental misfire from hair-triggers here and there)

2 RepliesAll that does is get you ur strange coins in nightfall faster so kinda of pointless But if you a have a medical reason then it is not modded is it?
-
Not sure if modded controller break any rules (probably do) but scuf controllers are allowed
-
-blam!- if I know
-
This game shoots slow so I can't see an issue.
-
Modded controllers dont even really work well in destiny because of the slow rate of fire from most guns, compared to say call of duty. You really dont get much of a benifit from it
-
16 RepliesWho cares? Even if they aren't technically allowed, how are they going to catch you?
-
21 Repliesi dont know about modded controllers. i stay away from anything that could even potentially get me banned. i do however use a SCUF 4PS controller and its great for destiny. being able to jump and aim without having to take my thumb off the sticks is a huge advantage.

2 RepliesWho necroed this???

2 RepliesI think this should help you out: 1. Microsoft, Sony, and by extension all game-makers for those platforms must conform to a licensing agreement. This stipulates that "Modified hardware" is prohibited. The term was meant to cover primarily the console unit itself, but can be implied to extend to controllers also. Such an extension would violate antitrust, fair-use, and ADA statutes in the United States, so there--for now--it is unenforceable. Meaning: use all the controller mods you want; most likely nobody can or will act against you. 2. In my 180+ network of online friends' experience, rapid-fire mods do NOT enhance gameplay significantly. Only 5 actually use them in Destiny, with no bans ever having happened for using a modded controller. What rapid-fire mods CAN do is upset other players--specifically, those with an over-inflated sense of moral or ethical propriety. Why such people get upset when rapid-fire mods cause you to run out of ammo when you miss once or twice in PvP and wind up defenseless is obvious: they're "butthurt" at you for the times you actually DO manage to hit them. 3. No human--anywhere on Earth, ever--has been imprisoned for using modified controllers on their game console. EVER. For the reasons given above, few, if any, have even been banned. Banning causes real property damage, reducing or destroying the value of someone's legally purchased/licensed hardware/software, and so must be done in a legally responsible manner--only after there is sufficient evidence to prove a violation of the Terms of Service and End-User License Agreements in such a way that it SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the gameplay experience for other players. In short, Bungie's actions must be legally defensible. Meaning: as long as you do not use rapid-fire mods to rule in PvP and run around teabagging 100+ victims, you probably won't be warned or banned--even in Destiny. 4. Finally, note that NOT ONE verified or verifiable Bungie employee has come forward to comment on your post. Formalizing a policy for or against modified controllers (even by commenting) is simply too much of a risk for the company to take. Happy Gaming!

Its against the platforms tos and almost def also destinys

not sure if any one have noticed this ... with scuff's hair trigger mechanism .. bungie will actually slow down your fire rate in game ....after a while ..like 3 games or so ... this can be tested on any shot gun, or the LAST WORD ..your hip file becomes redigilously slow ...and you will not win any shot gun battles ...for shot guns, it could take as much as 1.5 seconds for your trigger to finally pull at least it is this way with the out of the box version of scuff with concealed hair trigger ...
