trying to calculate husk of the pit drop rate
Write below how many blades of Crota you've killed since the patch Tuesday and whether or not you got it on the nth try
Wow honestly too many responses to even count. But I have seen as many 200 plus attempts/7 hours and as little as getting 2 from killing only 3 blades. Something is messed up with RNG if you ask me. Try switching characters is my advice. My one character seemed to be goin on the way too many attempts path so I switched and on my other character boom 2nd try (swear there's a hidden luck stat somewhere)

I got it from my first one , a friend got it in about 15 kills and another friend took 5 hours of kills farming on the first earth dlc mission that's been added in. So I'd say it's all random yet again

Took me 2 hours of cycling area to area killing Blades on the moon but I got it. Completely random but leveling it is easy.... Besides the point that eris takes forever to level due to lack of bounties lol

Killed a random blade in patrol, got it. Same night, went to do the blade bounty, got another on my second kill.

Over the past two days I farmed the Fist of Crota mission over 40 times + the 10-15 random Blade or Crota knights I've run across patrolling Earth and the Moon and NO Husk!!!

Number 58. Just kept doing fist of Crota, lvl 24. Speed vehicle through outside enemies. Kill sword of Crota from the "ritual". Each run took about 2-3 minutes (if that). Total play time for husk was about 2 hours 20 minutes. It was definately a grind so it better be worth it.

Total across multiple characters maybe 20-25 before I got it.

Farmed countless hours over the past 2 days; both in patrol mode and on the Fist of Crota. I finally got it today while patrolling Earth in the Rockyard.... and it was about 5 minutes after another member of my fireteam got it to drop on the Steppes. Keep grinding away everyone, it is useless until you are rank 3 with Eris anyways.

1 Replyran the fist mission roughly 15-20 times to no avail. Then, last night, after doing some raiding, decided to finish off a few bounties. One being the moon bounty. Sword showed up, didn't even see the thing at the bottom telling me. Went for the collect stuff bounty that is by the moon base where you spawn in and a sword holder starts to charge. As I take him down, pop! Husk is mine... 16 or so kills
