trying to calculate husk of the pit drop rate
Write below how many blades of Crota you've killed since the patch Tuesday and whether or not you got it on the nth try
Wow honestly too many responses to even count. But I have seen as many 200 plus attempts/7 hours and as little as getting 2 from killing only 3 blades. Something is messed up with RNG if you ask me. Try switching characters is my advice. My one character seemed to be goin on the way too many attempts path so I switched and on my other character boom 2nd try (swear there's a hidden luck stat somewhere)

3 RepliesEdited by Uberkull: 12/23/2014 3:50:03 AMI have three Husk of the Pit autorifles. Way to common and easy to get. I killed 6 sword knights on patrol on Moon for the first Husk. Then the other two came from doing the Eris daily where you need to hunt 3 sword knights on earth or moon. So a total of 9 knights dropped 3 Husks for me. Upgraded one to leg and fully upgraded it to the last bubble. It's not that great of a gun.

300 kills for my first. 15 more kills and the second one dropped. I'm pretty sure this game knows when you want/need something and makes it harder for you to get it!

I took my titan to the Divide to kill the walker, and the husk dropped after the first blade kill.

Just got my second one today. First one took about a day. Second one drop after 15 minutes (Eris bounty). I tell ya, you get shit when you work less for it.

2nd Fist of Crota kill after the patch dropped.

i won it about a week ago just doing the bounties. I was doing a bounty a couple days ago and the thing dropped twice in three kills....so Ive won it a total of three times. I only kill him for the bounties so 3 times in about 63 kills (3 kills per character = 9 per day x 7 days = 63 kills). 1 per 21 attempts

Not sure TBH, I don't have it yet, I've probably run between 30-50 times. I usually run FoC for 30 minutes or so, then move on. Until I'm Crota's Bane 3 there's no point in wasting a day farming for it when I have other fun stuff to do :P
