COMMENDATION SYSTEM - Do you like it? (A poll)
So you take the time to rank up your faction so you can buy their wares... and now BAM! You can only buy one thing at a time because each purchase requires a "Commendation" which you only get for leveling up a rank.
Personally I think it's the dumbest idea EVER.... even worse than having to re-level our exotics. Just want to know what you all think about it.

I think they should give a random number of crucible marks from 50-100, 250 rep is kind of meh.

1 ReplySince I don't care for PVP I haven't bothered grinding anything other than Vanguard. It just takes so long to gain rank and not having crucible marks to buy anything just makes it kind of a meh experience, and yeah most of the vendor stuff blows anyway.

I recently switched from Xbox 360 to PS4 so being lvl 29 and getting rid of my commendations for my legendary helmet and secret hand shake p*ssed me off

I don't use them, and they will be usable to level up Factions or something so I'm pretty happy with my 50+ Commendations I have stocked up.

The commendation system makes it so that gaining vendor gear is just a slow as getting raid gear. I never got full vendor gear because by the time I could I already had several raid gear pieces.

You should be able to use them to re-forge your weapons and armor even if it's a random dropped engram

I hate it, but only because I have 20 and counting. Every time I level up a faction I'm like.. "Come on shader.." Nope 1 ascendant mat, and a commendation. As if there weren't enough stupid currencies in this game already.

Fair enough for those just starting. Gives them a reason to try and earn some legendary gear instead of trying to take an easy way out and buying once they reach the marks. I personally don't really like the idea but it keeps the game efficient

1 ReplyCommendations were annoying for about 1 week after DLC dropped. Ever since then I've had a boatload just sitting in my vault.

I wish they would bring back the materials for vanguard/crucible marks back and fetcher rid of the marks for materials, but keep the commendations but instead of using the commendations to buy weapons/armor you could use them to Errol the perks on them instead like the way you. An do that either the Iron Banner stuff.

I don't mind, I have a few of each stashed somewhere to use at my leisure. I'm very aware of that DLC 1 stamp in the corner of the commendation icon and hope that doesn't mean they can only buy current level gear. I'm hoping that the vendors after the next DLC dont require DLC 2 commendations. I believe it's not beyond bungie to do this.

I think it's good for the people just starting out playing destiny, but at the same time for the people that didn't get it on christmas and are day 1 players this is a waste of an idea, we are all 32's now anyway. Just play IB or the raid and get that gear and get to 32, skip the tower gear.
