Bungie,
In some previous Mmo/Rpg games I've played you can take a look of armors/weapons and use currency to put it on another set of armor/weapon. Example below.
Go to NPC and place items in 3 slots:
Slot 1 Stats - level 30 raid helm placed
Slot 2 Look - level 5 rare helm placed
Slot 3 Payment - strange coin/motes/shards/glimmer. To me best idea said is weapon/armor parts as a payment as well.(edited)
Result = level 5 helm with level 30 stats (still required level 20 to wear)
What u all think?
[If yes please make sure to bump post up to top ;) ]
Edit: Most popular ideas regarding the matter will make it on the list.
1. Looks like most popular suggestions calls for transmogrification Bungie.
2. I'd like to point out that some people are suggesting DCUO type where u save the look of the armor you've obtained. (Just another suggestion.
3. Another new addition that has been brought up is having a vanity slot for each weapon/armor slot and just place the look you're going for in there without changing stats.
4. Some don't want to be able to do this with exotics just legendaries
5. Other players also brought up being able to use motes of light to increase light levels on weapons and armors
6. Another guardian suggested ability to "rotate" through options for how the shader colors are applied to a specific piece of gear.(edit)
7. Also brought up is the ability to "purchase" custom icons that can be applied to your gear or weapons (similar to the Queen items)
****Keep it up guardians were trending!!!!****

1 ReplyI wish they did it the same as diablo did. You think they would have paid attention to RPG's while making this game. Have an npc who is able to transmog any piece of gear to look like a piece that you've already acquired. In diablo as soon as you find a new item it unlocks that items look for transmog. You should still have to pay to do this of course. They also let you color your legendary items in diablo, I'm tired of having the armamentarium look like ass with every shader I put on.

Yes totally agree with this bungie. Cosmetics are very important. More choice less cookie cutters. (Keep the cookies)

Why is everyone not up voting this?
-
Seriously ALL OF THIS
-
Yeah. Its called transmogging and I've been talking about this sense week one. I hate you all so much.
-
Bump! Having a vanity slot sounds awesome.

Transmog FTW! I love the look of my FWC boots, the raid and IB boots....not so much. I'd love to have the look of my FWC boots with the stats of my IB boots. Have it cost motes, strange coins, ascendents, make it so both armor pieces need to be fully upgraded, I don't care this needs to be a thing!

BuMpIn UgLyIeS!

1 ReplyThe DCUO model was awesome! Of there was a certain armor type you loved then you could keep it and the stats
-
A simple fix would be to add a transmog type of thing. Where everyone can take a look of the item and apply it to a different item. Stats stay the same but the aesthetic changes. Like Diablo or WoW. Blizzard has this done right.
-
It'd be cool if there was a vanity slot for your characters so you can keep the stats of your main gear but use the appearance of other gear.
-
There needs to be either vanity slots or transmog.

6 RepliesHonestly I don't get it? There are new games coming out and people still play this? I assume most of the player base consist of psych patients. Aww how nice of the hospital to provide them with toys
-
I'm more concerned about killing stuff and saving humanity from the Darkness as opposed to looking sexy on the catwalk. Priorities yo.
-
Awesome I don't want a bulky titan look. I wanted a more speed like Titan but the armor for the raid is too big in my opinion
-
-
The sad part is that it wouldn't even be too difficult to implement.
-
1 ReplyThey should make it like halo where you can select any color for the main armor then another color for the trim so everyone isn't wearing chatter white and god of war

Edited by CheshireGrin2117: 11/20/2014 7:20:10 PMBump. Good call on restricting it from exotics, though... whoever had that idea first. At the very least, we need some ship shaders (sparrow too, if they can swing it). Every time a fireteam exits FTL travel, it looks like turds gettin flushed down the toilet... which does lil to rally the troops for the battle. Most troops, anyway.

Bump, bump, bump it up!
-
The D3 transmog system would be nice. Or anything that gives us more choices, we need options!
-
Bump.

2 RepliesI want the Witches to all look like my ex wife.
