2 RepliesEdited by Zone: 11/7/2014 9:07:51 AMI hate to say this but i agree with this post. Exotics are being known as common items now and its sad really. Xur spawn Every 2 weeks/ make the SC ( strange coins ) by 4 more extra ex. So since weapons are 23= 27 n armour 13 or 17 both to 20 a piece. Make them hard to get. Too many ppl with exotics recently. What they gonna make an item called "super exotics?" Thats just plain stupid. If they were able to nerf lootcave and legend engrams why not exotics/ Xur? Edit: Nightfall should be the only way to gain Exotics/ legendaries ( random ) once a week which i think is fair. But getting Xur every week is too much. Soon ppl will bitch that his items are expensive and theyll nerf every exotic we obtained.

15 RepliesI work 15 hours a day!!! I only have time for 1 Character (I have 2 but haven't used the Warlock in ages) it takes me 2-3 weeks to get the coins to buy an Exotic, take him away and I'll blam you in the blam!!!!
-
1 ReplyLike the previous response about working 15 hours a day. It's not just about one type of gamer. It's about being fair to all gamers. Hard-core and casual. That's why hard core people get mad at Vanguard mark caps and blah blah because they can't grasp that concept that some people who really want to play just don't have time. Should they be left behind? Hmmmmm
-
It's because you don't have a job or a family and ask you do is play destiny all day in your grandma's basement. Xur is the equalizer for people who have a life and who RNGSUS had been cruel to
-
I want, I want, it's all about you!
-
7 RepliesIf it's not enough of a challenge for you don't buy them. Problem solved. Some guy in a different VoG group having a SUROS from Xur has absolutely no direct effect on your raiding experience. For once I'd just like for someone to flat admit that they are so insecure that they need to have an artificially scarce pixelated representation of some arbitrary item which enables them to feel superior to other anonymous players they will never meet for a fleeting boost in self worth. We all know this is the real underlying reason, the psychology has been documented time and time again. So just own it why don't you? Stop jerking people off with all this BS rationalization.
-
Bleh everything on this game is random. There is no effort in getting any weapon as it is all luck.
-
Honestly, given that this game is entirely RNG-based and so it's all about luck, you have people like myself who are quite literally incapable of getting what they want without Xur, and in some cases, still incapable of getting what they want even with him. If they got rid of Xur-- Not that they will, I can pretty much guarantee it-- I would probably lose all interest in this game because I'd feel like there was nothing to work for and nothing to look forward to. Even once I get the stuff I'll still stick around because I'll be much happier for having it, but if I have no way of getting it, I'm not going to bother. That's why I stopped playing Mass Effect's multiplayer, that's one of many reasons why I stopped playing Gears of War: Judgment altogether (It was a crappy game anyway, but the fact that I couldn't get anything sure didn't help. All I wanted was a skin, but I kept getting useless experience.), and ultimately? It'd be why I'd stop playing Destiny. Xur gives me hope that I can eventually get what I want. Without that, I'm just sitting here bored and feeling like I'll never get what I want because my luck is that terrible. For instance, the only weapon I want is Red Death. Last time he came around, I couldn't even manage to get the five coins I needed to buy it from him. I was two coins short. Two. I ran Tiger Strikes all day and all night, and I only got two coins from that, and another from a character I made and had somebody bring me to Venus for the coin from the mission. Two coins. Keep Xur. He's the only chance that some of us have, and without him, there's no hope. Who the Hell cares that someone else has what you have? That's just being greedy and wanting to deny others what you have because you want to feel special. I love the fact that I'm the only person I see sporting Iron Banner gear right now, and I wear it because I like it. Soon enough, everyone will be wearing bits and pieces of it to get themselves to Level 30, and I'll be told that I'm using Welfare Equipment even though I was wearing it long before anyone else. I don't enjoy that idea. Do I petition Bungie to not make it 30 Light so that I'm the only person wearing it and to preserve its rarity? No, I'll suck it up and accept that I won't be special anymore, although I'll be far less ugly than other characters. Frankly I'm more concerned with the idea that I might not be able to wear three pieces of it, because I want to wear full Iron Banner. Not for the stats, not for being Level 30, I can be 29 forever and not care, I just want to enjoy how my character looks. This sense of everyone being special is nice, but seriously, who cares?

2 RepliesHmmmm more guardian tears thank you :)
-
4 RepliesNo. Xur is a means by which casual players can get Similar or competitive gear to play with hardcore players. Just because you want to be a special little fairy doesnt mean you get to take away what makes other people feel like special little fairies.
-
Just be glad he isn't selling raid gear quality armor.
-
Oh look another xur bitching post
-
I think that he should sell exotic bounties instead (assuming slight reworks to focus some solely on PVE and some solely on PVP).
-
1 Replyyet another person bitching about xur. Get over it the term exotic does not me rare. it means unique, NOW what i would like to see are stat differences on exotics. Say no two people can have the same or make them more varied at least.
-
1 ReplyI can't help but to think this is a troll. Random drop harder than earning coins and waiting for Xur to have it? You have what you want, so you want to feel better about yourself by making it "exclusive" in hindsight? I think OP is just trying to poke at the hornet's nest. Or he is legitimately a really selfish person even involving petty things. I prefer to think its the former.

3 RepliesEdited by K3ithSton3: 11/4/2014 9:06:31 PMWhy the -blam!- do people care what armor the other person have? These people are leveling up and helping you through strikes and the raid, soon to be even more strikes and another raid.. Let people have good weapons and armor.. If you want to be top cock at the chicken farm then go find some new players and show off your gear..
-
1 ReplySomeone has different armour/weapons to you... Why do you care? Just care about what you've got and not what others have got
-
Exotics aren't exotic...... The game does need really rare items, I have been saying this forever. I don't even care if I never get one, but put some things in this game that are special.
-
+3 tears collected
-
Maybe you have rng luck on your side but I've only gotten 2 exotics ever that weren't from xur.
-
I've come to terms with the fact that all exotics are not that special besides the one and only Fate of All Fools. That made me feel less salty about Xûr.
-
3 RepliesI want golden unicorn that shits money
-
1 ReplyNone of the above. We need to make legendary more available, and maybe more diverse. See other posts about faction vendor benchmarks and such to see some really good ideas. Until you get a full set of Raid armor, for most of your high 20's you rely on legendary gear. I'm sure the majority of the player population is getting to that zone or already there with at least one character.
-
Every week tons of players buy from Xur sung coins that they EARNED. Every week a few run to the boards to cry about it. Bungie Ian going to remove or change Xur. Time to get over it. It's only a game. Let it go.
-
I want Bungie to take away people like you.
-
3 RepliesNobody gives a floating warlocks fart-trail what you want Bungie to do.
