The Different Types of Destiny Raiders

The different types of Destiny players I've met when finding random groups through lfg for VoG: The Weed-man: can't stop talking about how high he is, how great his weed is, and constantly broadcasts himself coughing. Usually really bad at the game and doesn't do anything he is supposed to do. The "Experinced" know-it-all: joins and tells everyone how amazing they are at the game/VoG, and then proceed to suck so bad they continually wipe the group for hours. "I cleared hard mode this week like 10 times bro, I know what I'm doing." The Distracted Guy: responds about 20% of the time to requests made by the group to do certain tasks in the raid. Always responds with "yeah I'm here" in the rare case that they do respond. Proceed to do their own thing and are dead 95% of the time. The Rage Quitter: plays with the group until there's a wipe or something doesn't go their way. They don't say anything but just drop the Fireteam. The Good Raider: the rarest person to find. They know what to do, are patient, and don't freak out when someone dies but instead helps recover and move on. Sometime you get people who fit into more than one type as well.

    • I'm like a Good Raider, but with a lone wolf into it. I mean I go the opposite side and get the enemies focus on me. The only guy who rather go left instead of right and vice versa. XD

Im the risk taking 1 -Punch the boss in the face - run up to the boss n put a bubble up n not get hurt - when everyone is trying to "wipe" i say "i aint goin down without a...." *Boom gets hit by boss melee* >_> "bich" - run up to a titan in a blinding bubble (crucible every 1 is in there) n shoot the ground with my rocket
was fawqing amazing n worth the death >:]
So basically im the crazy 1 that like to rush n get killed? No i aim to make sure I survive to tell the tale (Bubble rock dont count i get to tell about tht >.>)
idk if it works on armor of light but sheeeet u try it n it works? Let me know
But ultimately im the 1 tht tries to help out.

    • I'm a good raider, always doing my part, communicating when need and having a good time.

    • Add this one: Team player/supporter: Varying skill in game, good, average, or bad. Supports the team regardless by completing assigned roles (to the best of their abilities) and/or possibly helping others or by filling in new players in what to do/not do. Are typically patient people looking to have a good time and if they are more talkative, keep the experience light with fun and interesting conversation. Almost always are willing to help out a teammate in need and try new things. Often try to smooth things out between angry teammates and make sure no one goes ballistic. I personally would like to think my self as thus type of raider because while I have only 2 raids under my belt (both vog) I have been playing since the beta and am good at holding my own and helping out others. I just am never able to amass enough high level people to do a raid with. I have played both times with at least one new player, the first time we learned together although I had more experience because I watch a lot of youtube (don't hate, I like destiny and if I can't do something, I watch it be done so I have an idea of what it is when I can do it). The second time a friend started shooting the gorgons and we did die. While the rest of my team was angry at him, I calmed them down and explained to him the mechanics of the gorgons and what he was supposed to do instead. Overall, "good raider" is just a really broad term that can be further specified.

    • The Raiding Thinker: doesn't do much. Stays towards the back of every encounter and watches everyone else and is constantly listening and asking for people to do certain things just to take note of everyone's responses. When the raid is over, he posts what he finds on the destiny companion app.

      • I played VoG and some kids friend got Hawkmoon from Gorgon's, that he so desperately wanted, but instead of knowing its RNG and his friend didn't have a say in what he got, he got mad, grabbed the chest on all characters (got nothing) and proceeded the rest of the raid, except he refused to talk (I probably wouldn't talk if I was crying too) the rest of the raid, no matter what he wouldn't talk. What type of player is that?

      • I'll make a new one The Silent Raider. Don't talk at all. Stay silent and follow orders. If you say yes or no use your in game character to answer. When you get high/drunk keep playing they won't notice. If you need to talk with out yes or no send messages. You might get kicked from elitist fireteams.

      • I'm that player that listens and knows what he's doing and actually helps the team out. However, I'm also that guy that dicks around and does the most stupidest/funniest stuff ever.

      • I'm the good one and i always get invited to raids or PoE since I don't quit while half of my friends fireteam rage quits at 3-6 wipes and i always try to find a way to revive my teammates without getting killed. If you see me crouching but not moving I'm thinking a way to revive you, especially if I'm the last guardian alive
