Congratz Bungie. You have removed 100% desire to do queen's wrath
Your removal of ALL shards from dismantling the queen's rewards give me exactly 0 reason to do this event. What a gross overreaction to the situation.
Here is how you should have handled it:
1) remove the level 2 mission from the playlist. I agree, this was way too fast to get shards
2) nerf the shard count to 1 or 2.
Getting 2 shards for a 30 minute mission that is pretty tough is a fair reward for something that is temporary.

Seriously. This was the only value to Queen's Wrath for people who have already acquired all legendary gear. This was added to help people in the low 20s get some gear, but it's too late of an addition for people who have already progressed past 25 to enjoy. Now that there are no shards, there's no point, unless you're hoping you get lucky and get a speeder.

I still do them, but only for the XP to level up my lower level exotic and legendary armor. But besides that yes, I have no desire to do them at all. I'm guessing they only did it to give the lower level characters a chance to get higher faster.

I was only doing it for the shards so I could upgrade my current armor. Those 2 measly accendant shards for doing the daily misson is nothing when you need like 96 of them to up grade all your armor. I like a challenge and all but if the reward doesnt suit me.. then whats the point??? #feedback #bungie

13 RepliesQueen's Wrath is to get people to 25-26, from there Bungie is funneling us into VoG, as intended. I.e. getting past 26 means having done a stint of raiding, i.e. making raiding a coveted thing, which in turn is a skill-based proving ground. The nerfs (and buffs) are entirely in the right direction I think (though I do hope they also buff the drop rates of world nodes from 1 to 2-3 so a little less farming for spinmetal, filaments and iron is required to get raid-ready).

@OP: This, this, THIS! I saved my mission tokens from completing bounties all week, only to find that I won't even get so much as rep from doing the missions when I have the time this weekend! I already have legendary gear that I completely EARNED through marks. If I wanted purple gear (color, not rarity) then I could put on the free lvl 20 warlock shader, buy FWC gear, or wear the queen's shader... There's too much purple and orange in this game. (again- colors NOT rarity) Thanks for taking the fun out of the first event. Here's hoping Iron banner doesn't suck.

4 Replies1. Dont you like the added challenge of the missions? Loot or not they are fun 2. If you are in all blues you would want to do the event. The idea is to help those at lower light lvl's get the needed gear to raid.. its not for people already in raid lvl gear. Dont get me wrong I loved getting "free" shards but now there are a bunch of lvl 28-29's who think they "worked" for their upgrades... 3. These points being said I agree that nerfing down to one shard would be nice for a temp event however conisdering a week ago we didnt have the event at all and got along just fine, cant we be happy that we had the cheap and easy shards for a short time?

The Queens missions had nothing good for me to use. The armor is standard, lacks verity. But I get lucky with drops and carry great gear, my friends however are less lucky. They looked forward to that armor, and I didn't mind helping them with missions so they could get it. I need over 50 ascendant materials to completely level up all my gear and this was the best way to get them. I mean, you are making us play the same story missions over and over and over but you don't want to reward everyone???? This game is getting repetitive and when you finally give me a reason to play some more, you remove the motivation.

At least you can get something. I get half way through the mission or to the last boss and the game kicks me with no reason or error code or anything.

1 ReplyIts really stupid, i mean alright 3 was a lot, but give us 2 or 1, now its useless to do the missions cause you won't get any reward that you can use if you already have 2 pieces of armor.... to bad they screwed up this time event for PvE'ers, next will be another dull event for PvP again, good job Bungie!

1 Replyall those moaning about not getting anything from them.. they do still reward weapons in addition to the helmet / chestpiece you can get from them (and those pieces grant +10% rep each to queens faction whilst you are wearing those pieces.. so wear em!) that's where everyones getting those barbie pink sniper rifles from x3 and sorry, but the main way to aquire those shards is supposedly from raids.. it's a little silly that you could stockpile 30 or so over a couple of days, even if you were doing the garden mission when it came up.

10 RepliesThey definitely over reacted. I personally don't have a problem with them taking the shards away. If they would of changed the legendary drops. 7 missions in a row 7 of the exact same helmet, Definitely no point in playing the missions any longer unless somebody can verify to me that they're getting something different other than a helmet or a chest plate.

I agree though, I already got the armor pieces from the missions, the only reason I continued to do them was to get ascendant shards. I'm a bit upset that they removed a completely viable way of getting them, because as it stands the only legendaries I've found so far are the ones I have equipped. I'm getting a little annoyed with how controlling they've been over this, Destiny is becomming more of a commitment than I thought it would be, I don't really have the time to jump in and play it anymore unless it's the weekend. I just don't feel like anything's justifying my time in it anymore sans my cryptarch leveling. It's not like I'm not going to give them time to fix it, but I'm really burned out on this shard grind.

2 RepliesI unfortunatly enjoy playing the game, But i do agree. But do not take this the wrong way anyone. I was reading the comments and i see alot of, "I get helmets and chest peices 7 times in a row" C'mon, You can't tell me everytime you get on of the same things you go " Dam* " and have you on the edge of your seat. Now i understand it has happened to me mny of times getting the queens guard chestplate 3 times.. Well when i do it im always excited or on the edge of my seat when i kill the boss. cause you dont know what you'll get. I have gotten 3 different items out of the Queens Wrath, A Sniper, Chestplate, And gountlets. # items out of 5 tries. Another thing i forgot to add when your playing the game you cannot tell me when playing with a friend yelling Collosisus 12 O' Clock high!!! to your teamates. I unfortunatly like the game and i can't wait to see the updates to come out, Look at it like this... Its like a book you read in class and the teacher stops right at the good part! and says you will read the rest tomorrow. think of it like that. and im sure it will lighten you up more. Please do Not consider this hate im just trying to get people to look at Destiny different in a good way. If you did read this thak you for reading and reply to I'd love to hear them! They definetly should have just lowered the amount of shards you get, not removed them completely. What they should be focusing on is more new content because the queens wrath is once again just playing the same thing with a difficulty buff. What happened to "we want to create a world you wanna be in" what i couldnt wait for in destiny was the sheer size of the world they promised, going to different planets and meeting up with friends. As it stands we have 4 very boring worlds to "patrol" which offer nothing to explore, nothing to do and have very lame constant repeating missions. Im already bored of this "world" im never supposed to get bored of. Theres just nothing to do in it. If they want a hotfix bloody well introduce matchmaking on the vault of glass and nightfall missions!!!!

Finally, we get something to do and a way to get shards because that's all we care about since we're mid 29's and you take it away. Now we have nothing to do while all the low levels get free legendary gear and we're cut out. We played and earned our gear, not just given to us. This game just gets worse every single day and is tailored for the low level non hard-core people. Stop cutting the high levels out and give us something to do and play, because it's looking like we all play once a week, Tuesday refresh. Do everything available, raid, nightfall, max out marks, Vanguard 10, then log off for a week since you never give us shards in dailys, just energy that I keep dismantling in anger because we're tired of getting it. Get rid of caps and stop forcing us to stay with the low levels. At least give us a private exclusive lounge or something we can at least sit in and do nothing instead of making us wander around the tower aimlessly and getting constantly harassed by low levels to "carry them" through everything or people begging us to help them do raids and nightfall when we get nothing for doing it again and telling them to go away. So go back to sitting around and getting hundreds of messages trapped in a stupid cycle.

i had a queens gaurd plate i had gotten the day before yesterday and deicded to save it to compare its maximum to my current armors maximum. i got the update. and once i saw "hey this isnt any improvement and i -blam!-ing hate that logo on my chest ill just dismantle it . . . WHERE THE -blam!- ARE MY SHARDS" seriously . . . level 24 heroic modifier . . . I DESERVE THOSE DAMN REWARDS whenever i solo it

I agree. The people's feedback is destroying this game. There are becoming less and less reasons for me to continue to play the game now. Why would I want to play Queen's Wrath any more if it's just the same armor over and over and I can't get shards from them? That's the only thing that made those bounties fun at all. Probably going to be playing other games soon.
