Congratz Bungie. You have removed 100% desire to do queen's wrath
Your removal of ALL shards from dismantling the queen's rewards give me exactly 0 reason to do this event. What a gross overreaction to the situation.
Here is how you should have handled it:
1) remove the level 2 mission from the playlist. I agree, this was way too fast to get shards
2) nerf the shard count to 1 or 2.
Getting 2 shards for a 30 minute mission that is pretty tough is a fair reward for something that is temporary.

3 RepliesI have lurked this post for a few days to see if Bungie responded. 2200+ replies over three days... You think they'd realize there has to be a middle ground from their standpoint and what players were doing an they should find it. I need shards too, though I haven't been able to play in a couple days. This would have been a great incentive for me to play had I known I could do this. Everybody makes mistakes and I feel that this is one. Hopefully it's rectified in the future.

3 Replieswhen farming for engrams the alot of people complained, farming for shards and it seems that this is not a problem at all. Bungie is clear about it that farming large contents of engrams/shards was not the way it should be, you should take a long time before you completed your mission. that is the nature of farming/grinding when your at the cap level of the game. just believed that the majority of the players were mature enough, but i guess i was wrong in that. i agree with bungee in their dissision to fix this abuse of farming.

2 Repliesagreed completely. Couldn't have said a more proper fix myself. If bungie plays their game they'd understand how rare ascendant material is. And for -blam!-ing sake stop giving me AE! I need the shards not energy! I literally have 32 Ascendant Energy! Like -blam!- it's so time consuming to level up a legendary weapon I already gained 6 more AE before I unlock the next upgrade for a legendary weapon...

This was just a realization that all of the Dead Orbit armor I have is upgraded to the point that I need the Shards to go any farther. Shortly after Tuesday I'll have the final piece of the set (Fatekiller Hood helmet). A couple trips around Mars and Venus and that helmet will also be upgraded to the point that I will need shards to get any farther. I had hit a "wall" on the side of upgrading and couldn't go any farther. Then the Queens Wrath stuff came along with the promise of the wall being able to be finally crawled over. I don't need the Queen's armor, my Dead Orbit gear is better in just about every way. Plus, the classic black & white color scheme looks much better to me than dressing up as the Queens court jester. So, from an aesthetic view as well as functionally, there was/is no reason to wear the armor. It was only good for the materials it could give me to finally advance beyond level 26, and to finally sport some maxed out Dead Orbit gear. Now they've taken any hope of progress and replaced it with a higher wall. Advancement has been slowed to worse than a crawl now. Bungie has nerfed gaining Shards to the point that they're nigh impossible to get, but there's an overabundance of ways to get Ascendant Energy. You know; that crafting material that has zero uses? So no, I'm not pissed at all. Really really, I'm not. Just resolute that there's less than zero reasons for me to go through the hour or three that it takes to fulfill her bounties, another couple hours to get through her missions; all just to get copy after copy of equipment I have no use for. I was able to break them down into something I could actually use. Now? Queen's event is worthless to me.

Would be nice if we could turn in additional Queens Guard items into the reward trader in exchange for 1 Ascendant Shard and ~100 rep. It would be a way to skip a few of the bounties that take way to much time like the 20 hand cannon head shots, and still let the 6000 Rep that needs to be gained for rank 3 within 2 weeks to be plausible (not mentioning the bounties that are already out for wearing shader, class item, and emblem). Another way would instead of the 3 ascendent shards from 1 piece of the armor being broken down (nice but yea a little much), the mission itself can give a shard and Reputation Based on queens items worn at the end of the mission, possibly a base 50 rep with a +25 per queens item worn upon completion. (head, chest, shader, class item, emblem, and weapon.)

Yeah I have 6 bounty that I turned in. But now there's no point in me doing the missions to get the queens equipment. Unless they put better items on the queen. Other than that I guess I'll be having 6 undone missions for 10years

3 Repliesother then raids, (which i can't play yet cause not all my friends are high lvl enough), there is now nothing new to play and the game is only 3 weeks old! Nerfing the queen's wrath missions (temporary missions i might add) to make then useless, not even giving any queens favor, is an insult to me as a gamer that bought destiny because it was suppose to be the next big thing. if you cant make the event work like its suppose to from the start, what's the point of making it at all. a little cut scene to introduce the event would have been a really nice touch, but no, just a message and bounties are given by the same npc. very disapointed with my gaming experience after 3 weeks, and i was one of the players that defended destiny at launch when critics were bad.

I'm still getting opportunities at other legendary gear and engrams from the kill orders and I got a new ship so I'm not sure if it's totally worthless.

Why you do this to us bungie? cause we pre-ordered and joined the game in the first second of the first minute the game was live. the event was designed for levels 23-25 who still require legendary gear, there is stilla chance of getting some nice legendary weapons though so it is still not completely pointless

Dear Bungie, NTS Internet users are now approaching one week of not being able to access Destiny due to the Cattle error on the sign in screen. Could you please provide some feedback as to where you and NTS are in the process of solving this issue? Most, if not all, of the people affected by this bug are beyond the point of frustration with this situation. I believe the ultimate fix to this problem resides in your hands at this point. If that is not the case, I apologize. Every aspect of my internet service works fine except for Destiny. That includes other online games. I know you deal with many, many problems each day, but I implore you to take some time and resolve this issue. It would seem to me that errors like this would take priority over whether or not somebody can see their ship, or similar cosmetic bugs like this. At least those people are in the game playing. Those of us with the Cattle error cannot even access the game to play! Please make this issue a TOP priority if it is not already. I have no way of knowing if it is being worked on due to the lack of information you are providing. Your attention to this important function will be much appreciated!

Seriously. This was the only value to Queen's Wrath for people who have already acquired all legendary gear. This was added to help people in the low 20s get some gear, but it's too late of an addition for people who have already progressed past 25 to enjoy. Now that there are no shards, there's no point, unless you're hoping you get lucky and get a speeder.
