Well look at it this way, a properly speced Defender pretty much does a good job of healing, shields from passing through the bubble and what not.
Also a well thought out blade dancer makes an excellent medic. Fun fact that is apparently not well know, in PvE enemies won't attack you if you're invisible. You can get in, revive, and get out, quickly and without a scratch. Plus Crest of the Alpha Lupi buffs revive time for both you and your allies. That's the set up i'm rocking now, check it out.

Why yes I am :D Level 27 Hunter, at your service. The Crest of the Alpha Lupi is an exotic hunter chest piece i got from a legendary engram. It has an ability called "Keeper of the Pack" which allows you to revive teammates faster, they can revive you faster, and your super spawns more orbs of light. Tested it last night during Queen's Kill Order runs, the difference in revive time is ridiculous!

See ? I don't have any of that :( I'm trying to farm any event, poss like the cave in Old Rusia... then do Crucibles, i don't know what else to do to get legendaries... spent 1 hour killing an heroic boss, disappointing.. i would rather prefer having 10 bosses in one Strike, but bosses that takes dunno, 10-15 minutes to kill each than 1 only boss that takes 1 hour... it gets boring, and then after killing it with all the stress... you get a stupid rare item as a reward. I'm Level 22 with all blue, the only Legendary Engram i got was shit in it! XD

That happened with my first legendary engram, don't worry, your luck will improve. I got this legendary engram from a regular cabal legionary, in the dust palace strike on regular difficulty I got Hawkmoon from a legenadry primary engram i got for reaching cryptarch level 5 or something I got Gjallahorn from a drop playing Rumble in PvP I bought Mask of the Third Man I dont know if my tactics are different from yours, i don't go engram hunting specifically, but i go salvaging for materials on the planets and open a ton of chests while I'm at it. BTW I agree with you re: strikes
