What the -blam!-?!!? Bungie is SOOO full of shit, everything they say about this game is either a lie or nonsense. Like when they claimed ALL the terrain you see is playable...it's not. Or when they said you never beat the game because there are always new players.
Now they are claiming it's a different shooter after 20 hours?? How? After 20 hours, you should be level 20, and what do you do? THE SAME EXACT THING YOU DID TO GET TO LEVEL 20!!

...on a higher difficulty level, but your gear is better so it kind of balances out to be EXACTLY the same.
It's like they realized the game is a fail and they are doing damage control, hoping that they can convince people to ignore all the negative feedback and stick with the game for more than 20 hours.

What did hardcore WoW players do at max level? Farm raids/bg's for better gear; heroics were there as well for higher challenge, but they were the same content. Yeah, the style is repetitive, but people have been doing it for years. People like it, but some people don't. Maybe this isn't your game, but it's definitely mine and a lot of other gamers. Perhaps you should play something else.

The difference is in how you play the game at 20 hours. Tactics over spam, the AI responds slightly differently, but the tempo is completely changed the higher level you get. The bosses are always the same though, I can not wait till all these issues get fleshed out.

So change up your style. Bet you can't run a Hand Cannon Defender Titan with a Rocket Launcher. Your choice of special weapon. Missions, strikes, and bounties? Go play the Crucible or run around in patrol mode. Sounds like you've spend too long in the grind. The game is what you make of it. If' it's so full of fail, drop it and go play something you'll like better. Otherwise appricate what the game does and play that. Or play something different in the game. It's so samey is because you only do the same things instead of changing up the order.

The game as of right now is short. People have already seemed to have maxed out and are just sitting around waiting for more content. They releas[ed this game with no content. People are moving faster through the content in the game than bungie is releasing.

The way I see the game becoming a different shooter is based on the fact that when you are running heroics its not a run and gun game anymore, you cant just spam supers and face tank mobs while reloading. You have use cover and tactics and pick of priority targets, this is a must. You sometimes even have to take advantage of two different mob factions fighting each other and stay quite till they thin out. Also note that the enemy group makeups change and with that comes AI movements that you wouldn't have to have faced before on lower difficulties. Having a team that understands how and when to generate orbs from chaining supers is another need that is not so predominate until you hit the hard levels either. So there is truth to what is said but it does come down to individual perception as well, I respect your comments but have a different view.

The one point to validate yourself is the one that has been bouncing about the forum for a while, and in terms of 20+ I note that you've not mentioned the vault of glass at all, that's something you couldn't do before 25 (starts in 9 (?) Hours).

31 RepliesThe game changes in the same way Diablo changes. I don't get it, Diablo and Borderlands never had anybody complain about "doing the same things", but Destiny gets it in spades. Bungie really is a victim of their own hype.
