so does anyone other than me actually LIKE destiny?
So im seeing alot of hate threads but the problem is the game is fine the only problem i have is bungies false promises.
I LOVE this game to death but i wish bungie wouldnt have overhyped it :/
Im still gonna buy all the DLC and expansion after 1 and 2 though (got LE)
So hbu guys? Was anyone smart enough to go into this game without the hyped expectations and like it

Yeah it's enjoyable, not sure what these people wanted? A fuqn super call of duty or mass effect 4? Swear true gamers that love gameplay and story are almost rare. Oh and watch this an angry guy will comment on me telling me he is a true gamer ;) but they really aren't

The problem is that this game had alot of expectations and some people I guess didn't feel like they met those expectations. Let review sites give this game a 8/10 or a 6/10 so long as people spread the word that this game is fun and it will only keep growing, the game will be a success. Also it doesnt matter what other people think so long as you enjoy the game.

The story is alright.. but i've seen worse, and as far as I can see the story isn't the main point to the game (at least not for me anyway). I love the idea of bringing a gear grinding game and a competitive FPS together, very interesting opinions all around. The PvP is great fun to be honest, apart from the occasional shotgun one shot which is very rage inducing. The PvE is very challenging and really makes you and your friends come together and really focus to get through it (level 28 daily missions!) Edit: and Hunters with awesome looking capes is just amazeballs.

i F-ing love this game, i was not on the hype train tho, the last game i got really hyped for was gta5 and i was so hyped the stuff i was hearing that you could do and that there would be seasons and then getting the game i was a little pissed that it was not as good as what i thought it would be so after that i will never get hyped again for a game, all i did with this game is watch ign play all classes in the crucible. that being said this game is amazing: great graphics and frame rates great character builds and options great loot hunt decent story i know its kinda short but i dont really like the stories in games great pvp a lot of fun way better then cod the strikes are amazing and with great boss battles and a lot of fun team working. this game is a good solid game, i just think people were just way too over hyped. i would give this game a 8.5/10 for the following reasons, long loading, bad servers, and the maps are a little small but i know that all this is going to change.

The PvE is a lot of fun. I really want to like the PvP but it's just terrible imo. EVERYTHING in this game one shots you, and is way too easy to get your hands on. Fusion rifles, shotguns, snipers, rockets, machine guns, supers.. it feels like I get insta killed by something every other engagement. It kills the fun factor for me.

Most people on here are jumping the Bandwagon of saying that this is an awful game. Right now I think there is more content then the first week of Reach or any of there other games and in time there will add more stuff to it. as soon as they add the first expansion pack which *theory alert* will add new levels to it and another subclass to each other class then it will be very fun to play.

As i didn't follow the hype I'm still happy with the game. I like RPG grinding games like Diablo 3 and I like Halo so I like Destiny. I think some parts of it need a bit of work but it's OK with me so far.

Now, I must say i kinda agree that there should be more content. I just hit lvl 20 and i want to play MORE Destiny. Not repeating the same instances over and over. Although i do like to grind a bit. What i'm trying to say is, I'd be even happier with my purchase if there where more planets to visit. I don't mind the repetitiveness but couldn't they at least mix up the missions a little? It is literally always go from A to B, deploy ghost and defend. Also, I hoped the planets/locations would'v been much much bigger. I sure hope that future DLC will expand the game with new explorable locations and planets. That's all i want,really.

I really like playing this game. I've been playing it alot since launch, and I'm not tired of i yet. The core GAMEPLAY is just so much fun. But you'd have to be blind not to see that the GAME itself has huge flaws and overall failed to deliver on the promises it made. I'm excited to see what they do with this game. They have a ton of fixing to do. Just little annoyances here and there that absolutely needs to be fixed if people are going to want to keep playing this game. Overall I'd rate it a 7,5 - 8. I gotta admit though. It's very addicting. So I'll be playing it for a while.

I don't care about all the bad ratings. I think this is a good game for a new ip. As long as it's fun it's a good game and I'm having fun with it.

How many guardians do you see in the tower when you turn on the game? For so much hate, there are A LOT of people playing it.

1 ReplyI'm enjoying it, lvl 21 and I haven't actually done Mars yet... I like how challenging the strikes can be (perhaps I am terrible?), and exploring maps in search of those hidden pockets of high level nasties. Pvp is nice too. I can totally see how people think they have done "everything", but as long as bungie keeps the events coming, I can see myself spending a reasonable amount of time on this game.
