Question for PS4 GameStop Digital downloaders
I went in to Gamestop today (Sunday 9/7) and changed my preorder for the physical disc to the digital download. My receipt has a code which, when I try to redeem it, says that it is entered incorrectly or is no longer valid. I know for certain I've entered it in correctly multiple times, and I know that PS Store people are preloading it now (which is partly why I changed my order), so my question is: Is there a delay between buying the code and being able to activate it? Do Gamestop code users have to wait until 9/9 to download? Is it possible because it's not a business day that my code hasn't been activated yet? Sorry if this has been asked - I did a few google searches and got no answers. Thanks in advance.

1 ReplyThis is a terrible, and likely intentionally vague, way to conduct business. Gamestop Digital Editions for Xbox were not subject to this wait. Sony knows that they are forcing retail purchases of the Digital Edition to wait and so does Gamestop but both have kept it quiet for differing reasons but neither are part of good customer service and just go to show us how little they really regard their customer.

9 RepliesI just switched from physical to digital, got my activation code after waiting in line for the 6 pm (I'm mountain time zone) start of the finalizing orders. I wanted the legendary, but they sold out, so I switched. Either way, the code is currently throwing an error as mentioned above. I was then informed by a gamestop employee that the Playstation store features pre loading, which our codes aren't good for. Our codes will begin working shortly after the 12 pm est release of the game.
