And I found this place near Los Angeles.
(It's the building to the right of me, just on the other side of the fountain. I plan on buying it from the current owner if things turn out well.)
This place has just about everything. With a wide range of eateries, clothing shops, and even amusement rides, this place was missing one thing; a bar... my bar.
This place is a great place because it fits in with the classy theme I am using to make my bar.
Just imagine...
Creame colored walls with crown molding. The furniture, including the main bar (Situated in the center), will be a dark antique brown with a shade of black.
The bar stools will be tall wooden chairs used for 1-2 guests (obviously following the color scheme) and the separate tables against the windows will be for groups.
Towards the back will be an indented space that's sunken into the ground just enough to give off a cozy feeling. On the wall will be (3) flat screen tv's. Inside this space will be black bean bag chairs and a fireplace for those that want to relax.
The windows outlining the building will be the ones that can rise into the building so during the day, instead of having the windows closed, there will be open spaces to let the air in.
There will be flower planters in front of the windows and tall trees in between them.
To top it all off there will be a mural of Paris along the long wall.
(Edit:
I forgot about the floors. The floors will be worn down wood, most likely grey and white. For the fireplace area, the walls will be brick. I will have it so that the bricks look like it is building itself.)
The reason I really like this place is because it reminds me of a small market square back home in Paris.
Also because it looks like an area from Sword Art Online :)
So what do you guys think of this place? If you have any ideas for what to add or remove, please drop them down in the comments.
Thanks!
R,
Bartender

4 RepliesEdited by Mad Max: 8/15/2014 5:07:35 AMAt the Irvine Spectrum? You'll pay through the ass for rent and eventually be run out of town by the Irvine Company in favor of a chain store. There's really no place for a bar at the Spectrum. It's mostly stay-at-home moms there with their kids during the week, or teens running amok in the evenings and weekends. Business people go to Yard House or Cheesecake Factory for drinks.

Edited by Astrachalasia: 8/15/2014 5:06:00 AMMy family started our own sandwich shop a few years ago. It turned out to be excruciatingly frustrating to find a place to use. We realized that we weren't going to be able to pick one from a list so we bought one and renovated it. Last year it was voted Best New Restaurant of Norfolk, VA. If I were you, I'd buy the place and change it to your liking.

1 ReplyEdited by Squishie: 8/15/2014 4:11:05 AMIt looks like a great place. The only problem is that it may be expensive to have a bar in such a costly area. I live in Los Angeles, and being there, it made my wallet cringe. The good news, however, is that it's a gigantic cluster-blam!- during the day, with parking lots being jammed packed all day; so you might make great profit.
