Just wanting to see how many of you switched and why.

I just like Xbox's interface, controller, and overall setup more. I feel Xbox is more tailored to community play, and friends than the PlayStation.

Edited by Blorgish: 8/16/2014 2:14:55 PMXbox 360 to PS4 because I think the PS4 is a superior system to the Xbox One. Got it release week and then was pleased to see that PS4 gets some extra stuff.
-
I enjoy all systems I just so happen to have grown up on Sony and well Sega lol

1 ReplyTo assume we jumped from 360 to the PS4 "because of early Destiny content" is simply insulting. As such I have to choose other. I went from 360 (mostly)/PS3 to the PS4, because MS made me feel like they didn't give a damn what the gamers wanted and with all the DRM bs at the time and the fact i've always disliked the Kinect I had to step away. I liked what Sony was doing and what they offered. I've never regretted my decision to buy a PS4 and I use it for a good chunk of my free time at home. Whether it's playing games or streaming content, it's the center of my household...literally, everyone here uses it.
-
Am I the only one that liked the original version of the X1? I couldn't give two shits about TV, and Kinect I would have used exclusively for voice commands, but the thing had potential to be a Steam Console (not the Steam Machines, which looks dumb). And, before anyone says otherwise, let it be know Playstation was thinking similar things with DRM, they were just smart enough to wait and not say it before Xbox.

360 -> PS4 because of the serious hardware faults of the 360, the annoying long time use of MS points as the only way to purchase things on the MS store, the slow menus of the 360 interface, the way MS destroyed themselves at the 2013 E3, the way MS went back on what they claimed was a core part of the XB1 experience with Kinect (leaving you with a less powerful console, otherwise nearly identical to the PS4), and lastly, in a smaller contribution: the PS4 exclusives and better support of indie games.
-
360 because... I don't know...
-
I learnt from this comment section that like me a lot of people didn't like microsofts treatment of the 360, so i guess the huge sales of ps4 isn't surprising anymore
-
360 to PS4: Mattricksoft pissed me off, and there were all sorts of Sony exclusives (inFamous, TLOU, Uncharted, Journey) I wanted to try. But I will be getting a One for Halo.
-
Halo is literally the only thing that kept me switching from 360 to PS4 :/
-
Quite honestly I love my GF, last holiday season she got me an Xbone one. Despite me debating that the PS4 might be the better console. And to this day I've had no complaints.
-
PS3/PS4. I'll be playing on both since I have the digi guardian and the ps4 white bundle coming. May switch back and forth depending on who is playing on what. :)
The only reason I would switch to Xbox ever again would be if the Sony community was that intolerable. I've spent around a month playing games like Forza, Halo, Call of Duty on 360 and can't say I really like all of the randoms I've come across. Maybe it was just a bad day. Hmm..
-
360-XB1. Not because Halo is king, but because of a few exclusives I might want to play later on, a better controller (IMO), and not wanting to leave an account behind that I've spent over half a decade on.

I went from 360 to PS4, early Destiny content was some of the reason but not all the reason. There where more games on the PS4 that I was interested in playing then the Xbox one at the moment . I will eventually pick up an Xbox one when there is more games that I want to play on the console
-
360-ps4 the reason: bloodborne

I went with 360-xbox1 because I have enjoyed countless hours on xbox. My gaming passion I suppose you would call it, took off on the original xbox and I wasn't disappointed with the time I put into it! Same with the 360! So I went with xbox one because I am going to stay loyal to the console/company that's given me and my friends countless laughs and memories. Now that's not to say I haven't also had my disappointments but with anything in life nothing is perfect. Anyways call me a fanboy or whatever the name to call xbox supports are these days but it's not gonna affect my opinion on it either way, I've already had a lot of enjoyment from my xbox one and I'm sure there's plenty of enjoyment still to come! And I have no hate to the ps4 players I'm sure they are enjoying their console as much as I am my one!

360 to ps4 because of MS being M$

Halo died after Reach it has been thrown off of its throne and there is a 90% chance that Destiny will replace it as the rightful owner of the title king
Dont be like "100%"
I'm in the ??? - PS4 category. My girlfriend owns a PS3 and the beta graphics looked kind of wonky by comparison to the next-gen stuff. It's not announced for PC and there's a PS4 bundle that saves me a bunch of money so we split the cost of the pre-order. We figured we would get a next-gen console eventually anyway. I suppose that makes me a bandwagoner because, outside of exclusives that I want, I don't have a good reason to stay exclusive.
-
What about those that have every console....I originally had PS3, it got robbed and then using the insurance money got both 360 and ps3, then upgraded to ps4 and also bought the x1 a few months later....
-
1 ReplyWell, I had a PS1 and a PS2 and loved them to death. I had a Xbox and I loved it. 360 and PS3 time - Went 360 at first. Loved it. The high price and the initial lack of games put me off PS3. Eventually got one, and I loved that too. PS4 and Xbone? I looked at the specs, I looked at the prices, I looked at the games. Decided on PS4. That the PS4 version of Destiny is getting a couple of extra goodies is just a nice bonus. I will probably eventually get an Xbone, but it's not a priority at the moment. Perhaps next year.

I went PS1-PS2-PS3-360-Back to PS3 because i didnt like the 360-PS4
-
360 & PS3 & Wii to PS4 and Wii U so far. XB1 at some point next year I'm sure Kinect, price difference and MS' terrible E3 2013 were the reason I went PS4 first. I do want to play Quantam Break, Halo 1-5 and Sunset Overdrive at some point though. Because games > fanboys

14 RepliesEdited by gerManicjag: 8/15/2014 2:55:59 PM360 to PS4 because PS4 is clearly the superior console not just to play Destiny on, but to play other games in general as well.
