Doesn't take much to figure out how badly bungie are trying to mimic Bethesda.
Warlock = mage
Titan = warrior
Hunter = thief
The awoken bare an uncanny resemblance to the dark elves and as posted in another thread, there's even talk of the 9 divines.
To make skyrim the same as destiny all I have to do is add the dwarven guns mod.
Thanks bungie...
Edit: I seem to be receiving an unusually high number of death threats via pm. I'd ask that you be man enough to post them here instead so the whole world can see how wrong you are.

You forgot that destiny has an extensive amount more guns than Elder scrolls........ And elder scrolls copied all kinds of other games and movies and books by using the word elf... By making a game. By using humans. By using magic. By using animals. Etc etc
-
Far cry "like skyrim with guns - ign" I personally don't care if it copies it. Far cry did and it was a great game. Destiny will be good anyways.
-
You take that back right now, or I'll butcher you like a sacrificial sheep during Eid ul Adha and offer your blood to the Traveler! Lol. But, nah man... This game is a rip off of Borderlands and World of Watercraft. Skyrim wasn't a looter/shooter and there were no team dungeon raids either. Destiny doesn't have the same open world freedom of Skyrim. There is structure to the order in which planets we visit first and pretty much everything else. In Skyrim, I explored the whole of creation before even going to town.

Death threat. How am I wrong, world?
-
Interesting observation, I was thinking the same thing at first, then I realized I could compare skyrim to borderlands, GTA, and WOW on many different aspects. Its like trying to find a cross over of gameplay like Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and DOA. Just need to pick and choose the elements, but they are all different games given their regard. The same as Destiny, FPS mixed with RPG and Sandbox elements. Is it Halo, is it skyrim, unfortunately not, its Destiny. I respect your view but disagree that its a complete ripoff. Or elder scrolls would be a direct ripoff of D&D.

1 ReplyEdited by ashdelete: 8/4/2014 9:41:03 PMNo you're wrong, they're ripping off dungeons and dragons. But even that was just ripping off some book, and that book was just ripping off real life. In conclusion, Destiny is a blatant rip-off of real life!

3 Repliesseriously? death threats? Who in their right mind would walk up to someone anywhere and say "Your opinion or observation is incompatible with mine, prepare to die."
-
Edited by DannyPG: 8/4/2014 9:51:17 PMIt's a fair observation, but to be fair, Destiny does have many fantasy elements in it. I can understand we're your coming from with the classes though. P.S: people sending death threats over someone's opinion is absolutely stupid and the fact that they didn't have the guts to share their thoughts on the forums is pretty disappointing
-
7 RepliesI thought the same thing. And then I got an arrow in the knee.
-
Idiocy beyond compare, are you really that stupid?
-
Quit whining and go back to your call of duty then while we enjoy the game.
-
I'd like to hope you're joking, but if youre not then you need to understand that the mage rogue warrior archetype is common throughout genres that predate the existence of the elder scrolls franchise
-
One can play the connect the dots with anything if they try hard enough. This speaks nothing of the quality of the game. If it's that much of a game decider for you then leave. Because we don't need that kind of shit here.
-
Human = Nord You opened my eyes.
-
It's almost like both games incorporate standard RPG elements such as a three class system and different races, both of which existed before either game was even created. Incredible.
-
1 Replyyou just described all fantasy RPG games... warlock=mage, and so on...Bethesda doesnt corner that market. and when making an awoken character, dark elf never came to mind. i think you comparing this to skyrim is a bit of a reach
-
Not nearly enough boredom to be Skyrim. Who the hell PMs death threats? That's so pathetic.
-
1 ReplyBlatant troll post rip off.
-
Edited by RebornV3: 8/4/2014 9:22:30 PMYour getting death threats damn I I thought Battlelog forums were bad but maybe you should stop being a bad troll
-
What's your point?
-
When Destiny 2 comes out, don't cry that you wished you've played Destiny.
-
The human brain can see patterns where there are none.
-
sometimes i worry about the unlikely chance that the OP is serious.
-
Thank christ you pointed this out mate!!! Lets all start an angry mob to hunt down bungie. While we are at it we can stop by square-enix and hunt them down for ripping off skyrim waaaaay before it came out. Oh and then we can go and kick over J. R. R. Tolkiens grave, the time travelling, imaginary race stealing bastard!!! I think you will find that everything you have mentioned has been a staple of fantasy writing way before elder scrolls was conjured up.

I remember sitting in the hold of a U.S. Navy warship serving as Dungeon Master to a group of seven men of war way past midnight listening to the ping! ping! of sonar, laying out game movements on paper with rolls of dice. All of the best games today are a rip off of Dungeons and Dragons. We dreamed for many, many years afterward that gameplay would become even greater fun. So what? Enjoy!!

Dude, awesome post. People are terrible, take their death threats in game and stomp them!
