This is rediculous, I spent the money and preordered a game that I was excited about because I was willing to take a chance and really wanted to be part of the beta. Now that the beta has begun and you have our money, you just give it away to everyone. The beta was supposed to be a reward for those of us that pre ordered. So please tell me why so many of us had to preorder the game. Your special reward on Saturday is now available to anyone. RIPOFF

Edited by JayTheKid: 7/26/2014 1:15:32 AMDid mom yell at you today? Did you suck a dick to obtain money for the beta and are now mad because the beta is free for everyone? Making you the person who sucked a dick for free. Is that why you're mad?

Shhhhh. Your post makes you look sad. You want a soda? It's ok, You can cry, go on it's ok.

3 RepliesSo far, I haven't actually spent anything on destiny. PSN preorders orders aren't taken out of accounts until launch day. If you paid to preorder, it's unlikely that Bungie have seen any of that cash... It'll be hoarded by the store you bought it from so they can earn interest on it until retail versions start shipping...
-
Your beta key was for early access to beta... it was going to be released to all anyways! Early access to beta didn't ppl tell you that when u got your pre order ??
-
Did you pay for the beta? No, you were given it for free for pre ordering. More people allows the beta to beta to be tested more resulting in a better game. Stop bitching for no reason.

1 ReplyEdited by StiviX: 7/25/2014 7:05:53 PM1 - The $5 goes to your purchase of the full game, the place you ordered it from has it. 2 - you could have gotten your money back as soon as you redeemed the code. 3 - The beta was an incentive to preorder, not a reward. Quite frankly I'm getting sick of people thinking everything is a reward or there needs to be more of them. 4 - I think you're way too worried about being exclusive and standing out. You are not a unique snowflake.
-
I didn't pre-order and I got a beta code from someone who did. I may not buy the game until a year after release. Does that make you even more salty? That little emblem I have that was supposed to be your special reward next to my name, burning into your soul! But certainly I don't deserve it! After all, I'm not the one who will end up paying exactly as much as everyone else for the game.

1. Your spelling and grammar are atrocious 2. They're giving everyone access to the beta to test how many players their servers can handle.

*eyes Amazon Pre-Order* em... pay... $5 for pre-order? And just what planet did you order your games?

2 RepliesWhat many commenters don't realize is they should of kept it exclusive after a major event simply because now it feels a little like you went to preorder for nothing. It wasn't a closed beta long enough. Plus the level is to only 8 while your abilities get more powerful. It makes it in balanced. Plus, when you preorder and you get the sparrow, gun upgrades, and ghost mod. Fine print says you can get these in game later on. I kind of was annoyed cause then if beta is out how much father after this do you get the boosts then. It seems they want to push the limits of the severs and since the beta go so much hype they want to get others hooked. Issue with this is they had several days of sever repairs. I'm all for advertisement but this teaches nothing but that consumers get screwed over fine print and by misleading advertising. That puts the brand in bad light. It's partly why I never bought many of the other Halo games.

You should be happy that more people get to play this awesome game. This just makes you sound like an awful person.
-
It's that last two days... Cry me a river. Plus, wouldn't you want everyone to try it? It only means more people to play with come release.

Edited by electricblooz: 7/25/2014 3:56:06 PMIt is a little disappointing that everyone will now be sporting whatever shiny (in-game) plastic toy they give us for showing up tomorrow. I would have liked them to hold off on the stress-test until after the beta event, but I guess they didn't get enough people pre-ordered to conduct a reasonable stress test and had to open it. BTW - for those of you who haven't figured it out, the event IS the stress test. The idea is to get everyone in the beta on at the same time. Now, since they opened it up prior to the event, you can conclude they felt they didn't get enough people from the pre-order beta option to have a "real" stress test during the event.

It was 5 dollars calm your tits. And it's to stress test the server so we know it won't crash when the game finally releases.

Edited by Zubzero030686: 7/25/2014 5:53:02 PMStop crying like a little bitch I paid £5 deposit for my pre-order so when I go to get the game release day I get it then and there no waiting for it to come back in stock and like the guys are saying if they didn't have enough people stress testing the game it might crash on release with the amount of people trying to log in I have no problem with it I gave my 2 extra codes to my Bro and his mate the more the merrier I say

Are you really upset that your 5 dollars down didn't keep the beta from everyone?
-
2 Replies-they need to stress test their servers -they need to sell their product -pre ordering is free -you were never special in the first place, they've given out hundreds of thousands if not millions of codes
-
Err ripoff how? You'll get your deposit back off the price on full release. Your deposit bought you an extended period in the Beta. You are ridiculous

Not sure what the problem is; you chose an outlet that charged for pre-orders, and I'm sure they can refund the money right until release day. Amazon charged me diddly squat to place down my order, and didn't even ask for a few quid up front. Whether this is something exclusive to your retailer (i.e Gamestop) I've no idea, but you should be more careful; open betas are inevitable in today's industry. If you can't get your money back then let this be a lesson to anyone who pre-orders entirely for beta access, which is what you're coming across as doing. If you paid for the actual game then you'll get something you'll like on release day. The final two justifications are that this was a public stunt and little else more, otherwise the beta would've gone on for much longer. Most of the actual required testing was done in Alpha, as proven by how long that went on for and how polished the beta is; this was little more than getting people to see the game. The second justification is that it's for stress testing, and that clearly the amount of players at the moment isn't enough to see whether the game will have a steady launch. You got burnt by a pre-order bonus - why does that surprise you?

It's a good thing.
