Upcoming PC Games That Deserve a Console Port
Now before I start, I realize that this topic is a big point of contention for gamers, since console ports tend to ruin games. However, I know that there are some games out there that would benefit from console ports, so here is my list of those games.
Transformers Universe MMO
Starforge
Star Citizen
Feel free to make your own lists and provide feedback on other peoples lists. Please, no derogatory comments, troll posts, or general stupidity. I'd like to keep this a safe haven from all that garbage. Otherwise, go nuts!

Ksp needs a console port, it would work well with kinect for IVA and Smartglass would be great for the map, management and docking controls (perhaps a docking port camera?)

I believe they wanted to bring that game, A Hat in Time, to Wii U in addition to the PC. Haven't heard anything about the game in a while, but I think with what it's based on it deserves the port.

1 ReplyStar Citizen wouldn't work on consoles. If you've seen any of it, it just wouldn't work. It's way beyond the performance level of the consoles. On a tangent, I'm trying really hard to be interested in Star Citizen, I really want to be, but so far all it's done is frustrate me. I have so many questions about it. They mention millions of people being in the same world- does that mean it's an MMO? Or does it have really large scale matchmaking? Is it like EVE Online in that it will have its own in-game economy and factions and politics develop? Can my ships be permanently destroyed, causing me to lose real-world investments? Is the flying more arcade-y like an Ace Combat game or is it more akin to a flight simulator? They mention landing on all these hundreds of planets, so what are you supposed to do on the ground other than walk around? So many questions, but what do they talk about? It's pretty, it's really big, it can only be done on PC, and you can buy in now to have access to the one piece of gameplay- walking around in a hangar with your ships. Well, yeah, it looks gorgeous and the concept is totally something I would like to get, but I'm not buying into it until you show me proof that almost $40 million of crowd funding hasn't just lead to something bloated with feature creep that will never get out the door. Explain [i]something.[/i]

8 RepliesStar Citizen, based on the nature of the project, would not benefit from a console port. Doing so would just constrain the experience of a game that has incredible potential and already looks awesome.
