Do you think Dice is fit for the challenge of making Star Wars: Battlefront?
While I'm glad the series is getting a revival, I'm afraid of both the developer and publisher may not be the right choice. Don't get me wrong, Dice did a splendid job with battlefield, but I'm afraid that battlefront isn't gonna be all that I hoped it would. What are your thoughts?

At this point I think battlefront, KH3, and half-life 3 all have the same major issue. No matter how good the game is, it will not live up to the hype and expectations set by the fans. Fans expect these to somehow be the same fun they had before while also innovating and just being the best games ever made. Example that I feels is a parallel is uncharted 3. The second was so amazing nobody would recognize the game as good even though it was. It was at least 8.5 but everyone said it was s*** because they hyped it so much

As long as I can get instant action, the hero mode, hoth, Endor and Tantive IV I'm happy.

1 ReplyHonestly, the only reason Battlefront was so awesome was because it was a great Star Wars game; remove the Star Wars and it wouldn't have been so amazing. I doubt it's gonna be very difficult for DICE.

Watch, if you play the open beta, you'll either get a dog tag for battlefield, mass effect 4 armor and weapons Star Wars themed, dragon age weapons and armor Star Wars themed! Or any game that come out around it! But if where really luck, will get a exclusive KoA set...unlikely tho...

8 RepliesAm I hoping for a good game? Yes Am I expecting something rushed? Yes Seeing as how all teams are scrambling to fix BF4 I am not going put my hopes on it. I just want it to not force me to grind XP to unlock stuff. I am so damn sick of that in the current trend of online shooters.

DICE is more than qualified. The bugs on BF4 aren't necessarily their fault. Given enough time, they could have been fixed before release. DICE is great at making games. I'm pumped for DICE to make a Star Wars game

Honestly, the only other dev team that could make a good Battlefront game would be the Planetside 2 team.

3 RepliesIt still seems like many people are unaware that Battlefront is being developed by the same division of DICE that made the latest Medal of Honor games. Not only would I not trust the main DICE guys, but I definitely don't trust Danger Close to make a good Battlefront. The only company that should be developing it is Pandemic, but that got shut down years ago. The game is going to fail miserably.

I fear the game will have to be launched through an online web browser, you can forget about cool offline modes like instant action/galactic conquest, and oh did you want Hoth and Endor maps that have been in the previous Battlefront games? Well that'll be an extra $20 please.
