Bows and stealth functions?
I have played many games that have the option for stealth or to just run in guns-a-blazin' some of these being (Deus Ex and Dishonored) and was wondering what the community thought about putting in the ability to assassinate or to stealth kill if undetected. Also if there was a reason to use stealth in the game or if the game has silencers, why not add Bows or compound Bows? Or even alien type weapons that shoot darts or needles? Even without stealth functions I think you could add this weapon type into Destiny...

ohh hell yeah, how awesome would it be to have some futuristic, high-tech compoundbow?! With explosive arrows or something like that..... ohh dreams.....plz come true..:)

We have shields, space ships, hover scooter things, space magic and you want to add bow and arrows? Wtf?!?!?!

Bows for hunters would be awesome, I'd definitely make one then. But we do have a stealth class already in the hunter. I was grouped with someone the other day that was speced for it, and I believe they get a backstab ability as well. So other classes don't feel left out, a sword for titans like the sword of crota, and maybe a staff for warlocks that would do a circular aoe around them. But if they did that it might become a bit too d&d, I like the idea bit not sure if it would fit that well.

4 RepliesI don't think bows would fit in Destiny, but some more stealth would be nice. Nothing too much to make it a main feature, but adding variety to your assaults would be nice.

I say the bow should be added it would be the perfect stealth weapon especially since there are no silenced weapons and you get caught by every enemy with the first kill so I say add a bow they did it with the energy sword in halo. Why not the bow

Actually bows would be amazing, just think along the lines of Crysis3 PvP would be possible and would be amazing.

For PvE I'm all for it but for PvP I vote no. It usually gets abused. I don't want to get ganked by 4 stealthies all at once. [spoiler] I was that ganker one time...I'm so sorry [/spoiler]

No bows just no end of that discussion on my part. However I do like the idea of being able to be a little stealthy before a full blown engagement maybe take down a couple of enemies with whatever the melee attack will be for the Titans have my Fireteam post up in our ideal engagement positions before ripping apart that lets say Cabal patrol on Mars.

3 RepliesA stealth-component similar to Halo's would be prime. Bows don't have any place in the environment of Destiny. They would be incredibly out of place. Assassinations should stay out of the game. They ruin the flow of gameplay.
