This is probably a weird question, but what's your guys favorite Halo main menu and why?
For me it's probably a tie between Halo 3 and Reach. I like Halo 3's main menu because I like the soundtracks they play and the swirling cloud, seeing the banshees fly around, the cliff side and the covenant ships glassing the portal to the ark.
For Reach I like all the concept art pictures that are shown in the different lobby's. And both Halo 3 and Reach have a great UI.

Reach. Still an amazing piece of UI design.
-
That's a tough one. Can't pick just one. However, I remember some nights, just sitting back and listening to Halo 3's menu music for a long while. Was nice and relaxing.
-
Tie between Reach and H3. H3 Mythic had the music, but Reach had the sleek design.
-
CE, obviously. It's timeless.
-
Reach's was sleek and good looking. Halo 4's is okay but it can be a bit busy. Especially in the lobbies.
-
Dang it, why isn't Halo Wars in the list?! Well, then the answer (Besides Halo Wars) is obviously Combat Evolved. The feeling it gave me the first time I played it the first night of release was absolutely indescribable. It's why I listen to Combat Evolved's and Wars' soundtracks in my vehicle.

Reach's had the best interface, so I'm going to go with Reach :P
-
For me it's goes like this: in order from best to worst -reach -4 -1 -odst -2 -3 Reach had a good score. 3's background was a little boring for me
-
I'm having a hard time remembering, but didn't Halo 4 and Reach both do that stupid thing where it asks you if you want to go to campaign or the main menu, then when you select main menu, it has campaign, multiplayer, and everything else? Because that is really irritating, it's arbitrarily adding another layer to the menu. I'm going with Halo 2. It's menu was to the point and you didn't have to wait obsessively long for the video to pop up. Plus, XBL nostalgia.

Reach. Absolutely perfect UI.
-
I like Halo 2's main menu screen, it had a mellow atmosphere to it.
-
1 ReplyI dunno what language that is, but Halo 2's. I loved the music and everything was so smooth and easy to navigate.
-
Halo 2 had my favorite main menu, though I probably had my best Halo memories with 3.
-
The halo 3 multiplayer disc that came with ODST.
-
Halo Reach for the UI, Halo 3 for the music. Halo 4's is just in your face and irritating.
-
Halo 2 for the music and Halo Reach for the interface.
-
Halo 2 had the best menu music, Halo Reach had the best backgrounds and interface.
-
It's really hard to decide between CE and 3 for me.
-
Halo 3 has better background but Halo Reach has better UI and isn't so frakking loud
-
1 ReplyReach Sadly, Halo 4 butchered it for the sake of being different
-
2 RepliesDefinitely Reach. Everything about Reach's UI was incredible. Although its music wasn't on par with Halo 3, it took all the features the latter had and perfected it. The menu was smoother and features, such as the active roster, proved to be really useful.
-
1 ReplyMy favorite is Reach, but the music for the multiplayer disk of Halo 3: ODST is amazing.

Edited by UphillMercury: 10/10/2013 3:11:08 AMI liked Reach's menu the best. The UI was great, the music was great, and the background art was beatiful.

Halo 2>Halo: Reach>Halo: CE/A>Halo 4>Halo 3: ODST>Halo 3>Halo Wars

Halo 3 or Halo Reach had my favorite menus and themes. Probably Reach just because it was so... tranquil.
-
Reach really had a slick menu that was great for mucking about or managing a group of people. I wish other games had interfaces as good as Reach.
