4 RepliesHow do you model? Are you starting off with a box and extruding/adding verts, or are you starting out with a plane and adjusting as you go? If you're doing the former, I'd recommend you look into using planes rather than boxes, it's much cleaner and saves you a lot of time and stress down the line, especially considering you really just work on one half of the gun, then duplicate it and weld the halves together, and fine-tune it after that. When you manipulate a box too much, things start to get messy (overlapping faces, open edges, things being set to different levels, etc). Not that I'm trying to put you down or anything, just suggesting a better alternative. If you'd like, I know the perfect starter tutorial. Otherwise, looks decent. I like how the stock turned out, and you got the basic shape down pretty well.
