How do you teach a beginner to play "Hardcore" Video Games? My wife said that she would "try to play Diablo 3" with me when it came out on the consoles. My previous attempts at showing her how to play any type of game that isn't a casual game has been a failure. I've tried to teach her Fallout 3 and Portal 1/2. The only games that she is good at is Assassins Creed (only for the feathers/glyphs/random fights with guards) and she's pretty good at Soul Caliber and Injustice (way better than me anyways). My question though is how do you teach somebody who is completely new to video games (she's only ever played an Xbox 360 since 2 years ago.) how to play but up the learning curve so she doesn't get pissed off and not play?
