Best lore/canon of any form of entertainment
Personally I think the Elder Scrolls series is fantastically rich and diverse. In fact, most fantasy universes are. (No offense Sci-Fi guys.)

I was surprised at how in-depth Warhammer 40k's story got. Bionicle was also surprisingly thought-out.

Halo, Marathon(which still haunts my thoughts today), Bionicle(No question here), and personally Assassin's Creed still has an interesting story (the different assassins due)...

Warhammer 40k. The franchise has become absurdly interconnected lately. The Horus Heresy is a prime example of this. Half of the named characters who don't die show up in modern 40k. Characters cross over all over the place. Bonus points to Epimetheus.
