Swords & light ing axes
I'd like to see swords and alike ingame. Anyone think it would be possible ?

Maybe? I don't know. The melee system seems pretty similar to Halo from the gameplay we've seen thus far... That being said, finding rare/exotic knives or swords to replace your standard knife with, perhaps ones with different combat effects (fire, electricity, automatic criticals or something) would be pretty awesome.

4 RepliesI'd at least like to see the possiblity to change your melee weapons, perhaps not to axes but small swords and bigger knives yes. And why so negative about melee weapons in Destiny? The Elder Scrolls shows that melee weapons sure has a place in first person view.

I'd like to see a large melee arsenal alongside the large arsenal of guns.

Well, in the Destiny gameplay reveal, a fallen attacks the warlock with two glowing/lighting swords, so it is possible that players will be able to use weapons like that as well.

It's definitely possible to implement swords as a melee weapon, but it hasn't been announced yet. However they haven't exactly said it's not going to be in Destiny.
