Shit may be getting real in my city tonight.
I live in what a lot of people would call a suburb of LA. We are on the way out of the LA basin towards Vegas. Not in LA county, but within spitting distance.
Well, there was a planned protest tonight over the Zimmerman case. Well, being the curious person I am I threw on the scanner to see what our local Sheriff's department was doing.
Well, it started getting really aggressive. There was a petty theft where a bunch of what the officer reported as, "juveniles" ran into a liquor store and looted the place.
Then the protests moved back towards our mall and where running around the perimeter. The SD put the place on lock down and the group still was trying to break in. There was a call for more support then the feed went dead. Completely silent.
This is the same agency that handled the Chris Doner siege. They didn't even shut down the feed then. I was listening to that and reporting on it here. Hell I heard the call that there were two officers down (one of which died.) Yet the stream remained up.
But today, with what I am going to start calling a Riot, the stream has gone down. I am starting to get worried as to what is happening over there. The mall is maybe 4 or 5 miles from my place. I am worried about it spilling over in my direction. Needless to say, I am ready for action of it does.
Flood, any advice? It may be a long night.

There have already been 223 murders this year before the verdict with an overall 267 shootings an stabbings in a population of less then 1 million. I bet no one has heard about any of these murders in my town, even the weekend when in June when there was 23 shootings alone in a span of 4 days between June 21st though June 25th. Then again this is just Baltimore. Daily life I suppose.

Lock up, and block the entrances. If they can't get in, you'll be fine. OH, and make sure you can easily get out if they set a fire. Doubtful they will, but you never know....
