Then why can't we legally shoot and kill tyrannical political leaders?

You American's really need to put your idea of tyranny into perspective.

The second amendment stands so that we may arm ourselves in case action needs to be taken.

The idea is that its only illegal in the tyrannical governments eyes. To gun toting redkneck paranoid crazy freedom fighters wouldn't care about the laws.

So far there have not been many leaders who qualify as "tyrannical". Bush and Obama are right on the line though.
