Seriously? It looks awesome but still it must have been hard working with that design must it not have?
I mean the PS3 was an oval-based prism (kinda like a squashed cylinder...)
The Nintendo Wii U is like the PS3 but it's got the buttons and the disc slot and ports on the short sides instead of the long side so you have to buy the premium version in order to get the feet necessary to stand it on it's side because its side is round and it will otherwise not be possible to stand it on its side.
The Nintendo Wii is a rectangle and the Xbox One is well... A box.
The Xbox 360 is a convex rounded rectangle with a pinched centre
All of those console made sense! Before the seventh generation consoles were boxes (Game Cube), rectangles (PS2) rounded rectangles (N64) and that made more sense. But why is the PS4 shaped as a parallelogram? It makes no sense whatsoever and how the hell they positioned the circuitry in there I'll never know...
Why?

1 ReplyBecause of this reason.

1 ReplyTo be different and to stand it straight up just not a usual design
-
1 ReplyHow does a convex or curved console make more sense to you than a PARALLELogram? You can tell why it makes more sense just by reading the name of the shape.

3 RepliesTo make it as inconvenient as possible and unnecessarily take up space.

2 RepliesThe N64 wasn't a rounded rectangle, it was a koala.
