Hard to speak for everyone... I see myself as a PC gamer primarily, though I also own a PS3. On the subject of Hardware. Yes it matters to me. Low resolution textures and lower FPS does detract from my enjoyment. Also since I mostly play FPS games I prefer to use mouse and keyboard. Better hardware alone does not make a game instantly better. But proper usage of better hardware surely does make a difference. None of the games you have mentioned hold any appeal to me with the exception of Halo 3. I would have played that on PS3 had it been an option. I have never liked anything from Nintendo. Even as a child. I regret buying MGS4 on PS3. I found all the cut scenes to be tedious and badly done. I have a hard time with the overdone Japanese sensibilities it has. That said I can understand why many find it enjoyable. It is a well made game. Just not my thing. Dishonored is a game that I enjoyed a lot. Besides have some stealth aspect it plays very differently from the Metal Gear series. Also I played it on PC so I could enjoy superior graphics and control method. There are of course games that seem better suited to be played with a controller on a comfy sofa. Like sports games or action adventures like the Uncharted series. With the launch of PS4 especially the hardware gap will seem less prominent for a while. I look forward to playing Watch_Dogs, Infamous Second Son and of course Destiny on a PS4. A more fast paced fps like Titanfall is a game that I would get on PC even if it was made available for PS4. Also Battlefield 4 will surely be a PC purchase for me. I think that you just need to accept that different people have different tastes. Do I think that my PC is always the best option? Not at all. Is it the best option for playing my favorite genre (fps). Without a doubt yes. -Vapor

What's with the Playstation or Xbox fanboys thinking that every platform except for theirs is shit?

Some like to get cocky once they put thousands into a rig, it's like a rich person and their car. Not every PC player is like this though.

The Xbox exclusives are good too and the PS3 exclusive called Heavy Rain is also really really good it's just that the specs on PC are better and for some reason people think that that's all that matters. PC is best for RTS in my personal opinion and probably MMORPGs and Skyrim though I've never played those.

mouse is more accurate then controller and pc can upgrade anytime. but the whole "elitist" thing is kinda of annoying. consoles have advantages so do pc. its just preference.

Probably trying to justify spending a lot more for something that does nearly the same thing as consoles and are angry the console community is much larger than the PC gaming community.
