I'm close to none to permanetly leaving this place.

What the hell Bungie Webteam? Increase the font size and change it all together? Why not increase the forum size with it if that's the case, like on the old website? Better yet why the hell can't we just long onto the old website and have TWO Bungie.nets? That way everyone is freaking happy. Or you can implement a classic mode to make this new site look like the old one. You guys say you care about the user's experience on here and you want it to be good, well, ever since this hunk of crap layout was born, my experience here has been freaking worse! The new following system for example, I can't even delete any unwanted followers, WHY IS THAT? So apparently anyone can follow me which is nearly the equivalent of getting garbage shoved down in my throat. Why can't we decide who can follow us and who cannot? What's even the point of following someone? Does it even do anything? The mute feature, WHY EVEN CALL IT THAT? Are you guys going to implement a voice chat feature to Bungie? No? Then it should be renamed to block list or member blocker or SOMETHING! Also, this feature is freaking useless, when I mute or report someone I don't expect to see "Some replies have been hidden, show all posts" because that defeats the purpose! Why the hell would I want the option to see them if I blocked them?!? And why is the muted user that you muted allowed to follow you?!? .... And now this new stupid freaking font. Granted, this place needs to look exactly like the old website, and I'm hoping that's what you are doing from the ground up, but so far it seems like that's NOT happening it at all. This new font killed it all. Why couldn't you guys just bring the features you wanted onto the old website? Why did you have to create this piece of shit? Yeah... You guys don't care.... I'm about to throw away my 4 year tenure because a group of people decided that this is what the community is going to have to shove down their throats. Bungie you're no different from YouTube now, each and every time this place gets an update, it appears to be getting worse and worse. The old website was cool. The old website was done right, everything about the old website was awesome, the tools, the options, the size, the layout, the appearance, everything. In fact to this day I would wish I could have that old layout for my OWN website if I can no longer sign into the old website. It was the perfect forum, and no other forum from other websites could beat it. You guys did stand out from the crowd. Now look.... you're no different from any other website. You chose to blend in, and that was a very big mistake. I've been here since November 22nd, 2008 and this is the first time I'm really really upset with the Bungie Webteam. No. I don't hate you Bungie, but I am very disappointed. By the way, I also miss locking/unlocking threads for private groups and the Preview button, no pages, borken groups, no saved threads, ect. I mean What the hell is up with that? So if you ACTUALLY care, you'd take some of the stuff I say into consideration. Please PROVE ME WRONG!

  • It's actually quite easy to stop following someone. Following someone also shows they posts and such in your activity feed.

If you want to leave, then leave. Otherwise wait for Destiny and see how all of this ties together.

You don't even use the privacy setting on here that would make it almost impossible for him to stalk you...

          • After pondering about this for a short time, I think I'll just sum up my thoughts with this: This is the first time I've seen this website updated on a monthly basis. They continuously tweak, add, experiment, and fix things with each update. I don't see them stopping. While they aren't going to bring the old site back, I'm certain that they are hearing what we have to say and take it into consideration for the future. I can only see this site improving and becoming better and better. Please note, I'm not an employee or have any insider knowledge.

            • The only thing I don't like is that we had LOST features from the old site to this new site. I liked how the old site used the blank space on the side with stickied threads and such. We lost title bars, and I was hoping for more private group powers to add to the customization. The themes and such changed up the look of the group, not just the top banner.
Better yet why the hell can't we just long onto the old website and have TWO Bungie.nets? That way everyone is freaking happy. Or you can implement a classic mode to make this new site look like the old one.
The more practical option is for them to create a new theme that slightly resembles the old website (which they have to an extent), but the features of Bungie.next would still be there. Two websites means twice the amount of up-keep they have to do, which isn't the best way to go about it at all. I'm sure it would be difficult to split posted content onto two very different layouts.
People following you has no effect on your personal experience. When you follow someone, as far as I can tell, the website just highlights the user's posts. It's not really that intrusive, you don't have to use it.
I can't be certain that you're even serious on this one, but I'll go along regardless. It doesn't matter what the feature is called, you can still ascertain what it means because it's pretty blatant. I'm sure they put the "some replies have been hidden" feature so you can see everyone's input, even if you muted them. That gives you a second chance to easily re-evaluate why you muted that user. For instance, some people on my mute list are constantly posting useless things. When I click "Show all" and see that the user in question still has nothing valuable to contribute, I'm reminded why I muted them in the first place. That way I don't have to go to my mute list and look at said user's post history.
And why is the muted user that you muted allowed to follow you?!?
Again, a user following you has no effect on your experience. I attribute it to something of an ego-booster, or, in terms that matter: If you have enough followers, you realize that a group of members like what you have to say, encouraging you to make quality posts more often. It doesn't change anything for you, really.
It wasn't updated for pure aesthetics. If I recall correctly, there were some technical reasons for it being updated as well. The old website was just that, old. In a world of ever-changing technological functions, it's necessary to keep up. It needed an update in that respect.
Now look.... you're no different from any other website. You chose to blend in, and that was a very big mistake. I've been here since November 22nd, 2008 and this is the first time I'm really really upset with the Bungie Webteam. No. I don't hate you Bungie, but I am very disappointed.
I don't know, I've never encountered a layout quite like this before. I was a little shocked to see it at first. The layout is either good or bad depending on who you ask. For the most part, the users who have stuck around can at least tolerate it, some even like it. This is more or less opinion than fact, though. A lot of people have chosen to leave Bnet over it, which is unfortunate, but no one's going to stop you if you choose to leave. If you want to throw away your years of being a part of this community over a forum update, then that's your decision. Bungie isn't going to revert it back to the old website, but they can at least update certain aspects of it that the forum-base doesn't seem to like, and they have been doing just that. To say they aren't listening proves that you're not paying attention. It may be out of Beta, but it isn't final either. You just have to be patient.

                • Like Duardo said, this website is improving and changing little by little. While I also enjoyed the old site you have to think about the fact that the old format had been around for a while so I imagine it took some time to perfect. This new website is still in its early ages, OP. It will continue to improve and instead of leaving, why not just suggest ways to improve the site in a more calm manner? They listen and they watch for the feedback. Look at the dark theme granted to us. Very few of us actually liked the light theme so they gave us the dark one as an alternative. They are listening and they are improving. But don't throw away friendships you have made here because you don't like the sight...it will get better. The key is patience.

                    • The stuff you just complained about was some of most trivial flaws about this new site. You're complaining about the font? The incorrect usage of the word mute? The fact that you can view muted replies at the top of the page? Who the hell cares about any of that? If you're going to complain, complain about the actual terrible stuff, like no pages, borked groups, and no saved threads.

(Save boosting your ego by having a larger follower base... which isn't a bad thing) And how is it the equivalent of having garbage shoved down your throat? Your metaphor confuses me. The point of following someone is to have easy access to their future posts. It's all about organizing information so you don't have to sift through the legions of forum garbage to find the few diamonds. This can be in the form of "Breaking In" articles, "Community Focus" articles, and so on and so forth. If you prefer to go elsewhere for your information, then please do, because I can guarantee you that the majority of users do not wish to listen to your pandering. Everyone has an opinion, but you do not have to shove yours into anyone's face.

Other than that, there's a lot of things I hate, some of which I just made myself adjust to.
