I loved the armor moddifing system in halo reach, but the thing that has always pissed me off about ALL halo games is that no matter what armor you had, and no matter how badass you looked you still had the same health/sheild/speed stats as a new player in standard armor. so say if you were a hunter class, you could be able to mod your armor to lower sheilds, but increase speed or camo?
but wouuld it make high leveled players too OP to be taken on by lower levels?
thoughts?

Ya i agree with RaichuKFM i want it detached from customization because if you had one armor that was the best for one class everyone would all end up looking the same after some time.

I'm not against armor that effects gameplay, just as long as it is decoupled from customization. My favorite thing about how it worked in Halo: Reach was that I was free to wear what I thought looked the best without needing to worry about it not being as good.

3 RepliesI think it would be cool if different armors had an actual affect on your four base statistics. I could look at a hunter wearing a certain type of Armor and go "Oh, this Hunter is going into Discipline at the expense of Shields, so while he's a great shot, he's going to be a glass cannon, I should finish him off as fast as possible rather than shooting these Titans that have more tanky Armor on". I can definitely understand that some people want aesthetics decoupled from stats, I'm curious to see how Bungie Proceeds.

3 RepliesSo you're talking like mass effect 2 and 3 singleplayer armor customization. I'd be cool with that

Also on a second addition, assuming one can change the coulour scheem of their armor, it would be good if the colour of armor affected stats too... because i dont think it would be good if bright yellow hunters could hide in forested areas, and be as hard to detect by the AI as camoflaged hunters

2 RepliesOn another related note, could armor mods be used to directly effect weapon useage? so you could have gauntlets that are specific to a cirtain pistol for example?

Only in appearance, think if in this game have levels, one player at lvl 50 have the coolest armor and kill other lvl 50 players because they dont have this cool armor (for stats) i think only the weapons can change stats, like more range at Hunters or more magic damage at Warlocks,or moreover yes is good to have armor different stats, because one players need that "Fallen Capitan Helmet" boss that have more HP and we need to go with other players to kill it,this would be nice, depends of the point of view, this game have good things and bad things.

1 ReplyA fear I've had about this game is that at a certain point (assuming you can get better and better weapons and armor), it might get too easy.

I'd like to be able to look the way I want without worrying about stats.

12 RepliesWell... there weren't stats in Halo. There are in Destiny. So I'd say it's a near sure thing.
