And if so, have you experienced any undesirable situations as a result?
I have auto-expand enabled and I'm pleased to say that I haven't yet seen anything that I would consider inappropriate as a result. Is it possible that the Bungie community is more mature / responsible than we gave them credit for?
-
Yep. It's highly unlikely I'll see anything here that would faze me.
-
Now that I've turned it on, I'm quite surprised at the lack of abuse. The Flood has impressed me. Probably won't last long though.
-
I haven't seen anything bad either I'm kind of surprised. Now that I posted in here, I will not come back.....bai
-
I actually suggested they did this in the feedback thread. I havnt seen anything bad yet, I think the fact its too easy makes it less fun for trolls.
-
I feel like this is a trap...
-
I considered turning it on, but decided against it, since it would probably bite my ass in the long run. It's nice to see that most people on the site are more responsible than I usually give them credit for, though.
-
Well, there's one user, can't remember their name, that always has a picture of Captain Jack Harkness talking about spaghetti, and it's just kind of annoying to see that so often. It was worse when I had to click to view the image, because I'd click it, expecting something interesting, only to see the top half of a naked Jack Harkness... again... You know who you are.

1 ReplyI wasn't aware that was a feature. I won't be using it. I could see myself regretting the use of it.
-
Yeah. Unfortunately I trust most people here.
-
Of course.
-
3 RepliesHoly crap that's an option?
-
I do have it on. And no, I have not seen anything undesirable. Hell, I've gone out of my way to look for examples and haven't found one. *Ahem* I do recall saying that if given a feature like this, there would be not many, if at all, negative side effects.
-
No. I will never turn that on.
-
Not a chance I would use that feature.
-
I have, and I have not.
-
Absolutely.
-
Is the Bungie Community mature? Some of us are. And I mean "some". Don't believe me? Go to halo.bungie.net and look at the Flood.
-
3 RepliesIndeed, but mainly to dismiss the YOU ARE LEAVING BUNGIE.NET warning rather than to have things auto-expanded. That option really needs splitting. I like having things hidden to improve load times, but really can't stand YOU ARE LEAVING THIS SITE warnings. Of course I'm leaving the site, I clicked a -blam!-ing link.
-
I haven't set it to auto expand but that's probaly because I'm lazy and just haven't really been arsed to go into settings on my phone
-
I have auto-expand set, and I've probably already seen anything worse than what spammers and trolls can fit into a thumbnail of that size. I ain't no little bitch about it.
-
I use it, since there's not going to be any sounds I don't expect, I'm not worried at all
-
Edited by EZ: 1/26/2013 11:23:11 PMTo be honest I haven't set it to that yet. I really don't really expect to see anything, but I sometimes can be a more causes type with this kind of thing. I think its a cool option though for people.
-
I like to have it more like a forum where you can see the picture right away. Might have to be because I am lazy.
-
Yes I do and no I haven't.
-
I guess it does mean that. I have it to auto-expand and have yet to encounter anything truly uncomfortable.
