The way PVP is configured, it`s like teaching your kids how to swim by tossing them in the ocean full of hungry sharks.
The last time I actually enjoyed PVP was in D1 during it`s first month of release, where everyone was learning and pretty much on an equal footing.
Now, every time I go into a match the stomach tightens and the frustration builds at every time I`m one shotted by a weapon I`ve never heard of , by a guardian with maxed out light level and waiting to respawn.
I used to think if I had better weapons and armor it would get better.
Well that didn`t work out either.
I`d really like to take advantage of this part of the game, and maybe if my thing was getting tied up and spanked I wouldn`t mind spending most of the match waiting to respawn, or being the reason the group lost the match.
I guess what I`m saying is I wish there was a way to play PVP in a tier based progression where you could actually gain the skills needed so that every PVP match cause my stomach to tighten, and the frustration builds with every respawn from being one shotted by a guardian a hundred light levels up from me, using a weapon I`ve never heard of.
Yeah, yeah..I know. Waaa waaa , poor me..get good..thanks for that great advice guy, I`m sure it will help me out allot.

3 RepliesI think Comp might be what you're looking for. It has tiers (divisions) based on your current skill. You will go through some placement games and it will determine your skill, then place you into a division with other players of similar skill. As you do better, you may be placed into a harder division. If you get worse, you may get moved to a division with less skilled players.

Pvp games are generally more fun when they have less options.

I feel the same as no matter what armor or weapons I use the opponent shoots me once and that's it where as I shoot them 3 or more times and they have some sort of shield. It not fair and Bungie is not listening
