By Sony, I think we all hoped that things would get better where it comes to bugs in the game. Fact is, it’s gotten worse.
Honeydew all the time, when trying to play fireteam activities.
Unable to spend combat telemetry in Arms week.
People complaining about various error codes that should not be happening.
When are you going to sort this game out Bungie/Sony??
It’s ridiculous that we are so far into this game now and things just seem to be getting worse and worse!

5 RepliesThe multi-year roadmap will tell us what Sony’s plans are for this game (assuming it’s still happening).
-
2 RepliesSony has nothing to do with this game .. bungie is independent of sony with d2

We need Sony to step in and give Destiny 2 to a different studio ASAP... Game that had tons of potential from its original creation has been decimated into various piles of unattended 💩 -
All the bad ideas, all these issues with broken updates, all these issues with things not working as intended, the poor quality content we’ve seen lately, the lack of communication from Bungle about any direction Destiny will be going; not having any Quality department at all, we could go on for days here… All the issues we see are squarely on Bungle’s shoulders. They got themselves here and the current team left at that Studio will run it into the ground… No Concord 2…… I mean no Marathon for this guy. Never trusting Bungle with anything going forward. They even have the nerve to place adds in D2 for Marathon, under the add-on tab. Marathon is not Destiny 2. Why advertise your new game within the game you’re clearly letting die on purpose.

Edited by Secret_Stew01: 1/30/2026 10:13:29 PMSony hasn’t fully taken control yet big guy, there’s still a skeleton crew at Bungie, not the OG Bungie ofc but we aren’t at the point yet where we can blame Sony this still all stems from Parsons and his cohorts in the matter. Once marathon is out for a bit then we will see if Bungie croaks and if Sony fully possesses Destiny 2 for the foreseeable future in terms of gameplay, development, and all that. Trust me I’m just hoping they have something meaningful in mind for D2. And that is for Bungo or Sony.

2 Replieswe all knew that sony was a bigger devil, delays and forced the studio in other project, but error codes are 90% of the times a player problem
-
17 RepliesNo, fools who thought the grass was greener bought into that fantasy. In fact, they continue to buy into it because some seem to believe the big solution would be to hand the franchise over to another studio altogether as though that would fix all of their personal grievances with the flick of a wrist and a swish if a wand.

They haven't been taken over yet, still being run by Justin Overdelivery If Marathon flops, expect Sony to let go everyone and put in there own people
-
12 RepliesBlame bungie, not Sony. They do this to gaslight yall
-
10 RepliesBungie still independent so anything bs happening in D2 is 100% on Bungie and not on Sony
-
15 Repliesnot disputing anything here but there is one thing i don't understand. Why would you think things would be any different when Sony did what they did. The people working on D2 didn't change. Sony didn't send a million / billion people to Bungie's studio and they... you know, went to town sort of speak. i mean where would they all live? did anyone notice a (doing some math) 1/4 million / billion houses or apartments pop up in Seattle? Are they all underground? Wait, wait They are microscopic ppl. Bungie has them all in a locker at a Train Station 🙄
-
2 RepliesI don't think that up to this point the Sony take over would change anything. Bungie has had a lot of leeway for the first bit but now Sony is wanting to see some profits. That isn't happening. With the layoffs and other employees being transferred to other Sony studios it's come down to this: Marathon or Bust.
-
1 ReplyD2 is what it is ! It isn’t changing and yes it’s gradually got worse . People still have high expectations or think that d2 is going to turn around it just isn’t going to happen . All focus is on marathon now .
-
Well Sony down played projected earning for destiny 2 this year so doubt they care about it outside of keeping investors/ shareholders happy until marathon drops than I reckon if marathon succeed they'll start abandoning destiny fully.

Sony bought it cause destiny 2 was one of the best games ever created and almost everyone bought it and was playing it . Bungie destroyed the game while they could have put all their bad content in destiny 3 . That is not sony their fault . Sony simply bought the best games ever created but bungie single handed destroyed it . And the streamers and their fanboy army are the first to jump aboard to watch the ship go down and make a video about it . Destiny 2 is destroyed . Blame whoever you want but it is not sony their fault , i can tell you that .
