*spoiler alert* lore question about the last mission
Why in god's name did Bael and Lume fire the Nightfall weapon when they should have known the cooling stasis crystals were destroyed?
Does the technologically savy Imperium not have damage reports?
Or do we chalk it up to a sudden drop in IQ?
Please don't tell me it was simply due to hubris or they simply overeager to fire their one and only super weapon when it was clearly compromised.
Or is Lume suppose to be a witless drone / puppet who cannot pause long enough to report to Bael that the weapon was damaged?
Yes, I did watch that final cut scene. Is there some lore card that would explain this?

1 ReplyIt's likely that Lume hadn't received damage report yet, as most of the soldiers in the core died, and Bael didn't want to wait long enough to receive one. Between us damaging the core and them firing the weapon, it was maybe about 10 minutes tops, not nearly long enough to identify the damage, especially for someone as volatile as Bael, or as reverent as Lume.
