13x gilded conqueror trying to do GM Fallen Saber. Sorry, but this is a complete joke.
The first thing that completely sucks are the ridiculous loadout restrictions that force you into garbage builds with trash exotics and awful weapons just bc you people apparently hate the customers that keep you in business. But most of all, the difficulty is a JOKE!!!
Honestly, this is the most uninspired, incompetent, amateur BS I have ever seen. You basically just increase the health pools by a billion. So nothing works anymore. I’m using a bow bc I need something for barrier champions. Trinity ghoul. Here’s my question:
DOES ANYONE AT BUNGIE KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES TO KILL A RANDOM ENEMY WITH THAT?!
I’m talking like resilient dregs or something, not big yellow bar enemies. It’s ridiculous. It takes ages to kill the ads. Even red bars.
And then you have a barrier champion shielding an overload champion and like sixty snipers running around, half of them invisible, that one-shot you. By the way, one-shot also applies if one enemy can’t one-shot but your enemies are all firing at the same time and you cannot react.
I stunned the overload champion, unloaded my super on him. He had more than 50% health left and went right into regeneration. My super. The biggest power I wield. Cannot even take 50% of one of the 30 enemies in that room.
That feels awful. Guardians feel super weak. Your approach to difficulty is to massively inconvenience the player. So much so that your game feels absolutely awful. Same thing with all the slow fields and stasis-afflicting enemies or those pos enemies that fly and scream at you and stun everything in a 120 degree vector in front of them. In this game, at those difficulties, when you’re incapacitated like that and can’t move for even a SECOND, you’re dead. That is so dumb. You can’t evade, you can’t do anything against it, it’s basically a forced handicap that you have to accept.
My main question is this though: Why on earth would you do that to the few loyal remaining players?! Who thinks this is a good idea? Most players have jumped ship already.
Bungie, read this very slowly:
YOUR. GAME. FEELS. HORRIBLE.
Do something!!!

Edited by Dooodley: 10/27/2025 2:57:17 AMI have to agree. I was fine with the deltas at first BUT I later realized that it's just a terrible experience when you're not on your favorite build/class anymore. Solo is still fine but it gets really evident how people - including myself - are struggling when I cant carry in fireteams anymore. Then I tried exotic pinnacles on my non-preferred clases and gave up. I even went down to grandmaster - from always having played Ultimate on my fav class/spec - and it made no diference. The one thing that stod out the most was probably that I did the exact same damage (7 damage ticks with the same weapon on unstoppables) - there was literally no change. So are the deltas always the same regardless of what difficulty you play on? In addition, during several pinnacle attempts now I've more or less had to rely on primary. Did they completely mess up the brick spawns - because nothing's dropping. Do they have any idea how long it takes to kill the two unstoppables in that small cave between areas on the whisper while kiting and just using primary? And even if you can do it's nothing I'm going to spend my time on. I dont enjoy spending ten minutes on two enemies when I'm trying to play for fun and get some gear. Also, events like the current one are making things ten times worse - with special enemies of the "damage with same type as shield" show up and throw a bunch of pumpkins at you. Unless things change I'm just going to be an event player and not touch the game inbetween. And that will probably fade out to not playing at all.

1 ReplyIgnore the trolls on here guardian, we hear you and many of us feel the same. K1 yesterday on ultimatum with barrier champs that wishender could only tickle, stasis pools appearing everywhere from nowhere and shielded witches that one-shot you with 2 arc resist mods. It is exhausting and makes me not want to play.

16 RepliesTried midtown onslaught before, oh my lord. With 2 rank 10 conquerors, felt ok until wave 9, then 3 giant captains spawn on the zone, there's about 13 overload captains, there's 5-6 barrier servitors, about 40 shanks, & the base just got absolutely destroyed & we got sent to orbit. In what world is that ok

9 RepliesDo you want help? I can probably run you through all the grandmaster. I can also run Hypernet Ultimate with you, but youd have to hold your own in there. I can help you with a build that balances damage resistance with offensive output. When you get in the flow, it's really fun.

3 RepliesThe way they apply modifiers now is to blame. They randomly mix them, so depending on when you are playing it either feels ok or completely ridiculous, because not all modifiers are equally challenging. Banning the most annoying one is a thing but that’s not enough. Especially when they come on top of -30 and red bars with buffed health bar. Ironically they wanted to entice build diversity, which is really great in EoF, but modifiers make it so you have to run the same broken build in hard content.

5 RepliesI use mint and riskrunner on that strike

Grandmaster enemies have always been sponges. I am not sure why this surprises you. It’s the only way Bungie knows how to make them difficult, just by increasing numbers.

1 ReplyEdited by nonchalantone: 10/26/2025 7:51:53 PMIt's all a cluster -blam!-. And they know it. It's a huge time sink, to constantly pepper an ememy whose a literal bullet sponge. Slows the game down immensely. I trust NOTHING this company does at this point. Eververse is a joke. (Side note) The "season pass" has items pushed further down the pass itself, to encourage buyers to impulse buy. But no improvement to the game itself. Only cosmetic changes, and content that restricts "playing your way". Complete joke.

2 Replies13x conqueror and you complaining about game been too difficult?did you use recov or someone carry you hard , because I can't believe what you saying And who in the hell use bows for barrier and also complaining about barrier shielding overlord is just ridiculous If you talking about conquest version of the saber strike well only boss fight was bit tough do to lack of enemies to create well of light or proc subclass verbs affects ,do you remember how we cheese god dam warsat with emote and before that invis hunter ,do you remember overlord one shot us when the strike first came out ,you should be considering you are 13x conqueror

Fallen saber solo is ridiculous rn I tried it a few weeks ago playing on a half broken controller and it was 30 minutes of agony

Weird, I helped people with their GM saber recently and we zoomed through it no problem. You sure it's not a skill issue? Kinda sounds like a skill issue.

2 RepliesI dunno, I just breezed through that conquest in an FTF run with a contraverse hold build, Mint, Polaris, and Boomslang. Felt closer to an advanced NF strike than a conquest if I am honest. Barrier before Overload, unless you can pounce on them as soon as they spawn and stun the overload and burn him down before the barrier can shield it up. There are not enough arc shields to make Trinity useful in this strike, so I think you should try something else. I use Polaris mostly to get radiant and free armor charges at boss, but the scatter grenade will kill most clumps of adds and is the main tool for the strike.

Used lfg for that GM and blitzed it in less than 10 minutes. Easy. Use better loadouts. Bringing a bow into a gm conquest is not it chief 🤣
-
6 RepliesI stopped reading when you brought up Trinity Ghoul. There are much better antibarrier weps than a bow to use. If you think this conquest is bad don't even bother with the ultimate or even gm ones because this is clearly a skill issue.
