Make all exotic armor tier 5
Being that exotic armor is supposed to be the cream of the crop when it comes to gear I think it should come out of the box at tier 5

Should be a rare drop with a higher chance at higher tier exotics from endgame activities like raids and flawless trials.

I want this as well as tiered exotic weapons. PE could try to argue that would break several of them, but keep in mind: * Different weapon types and archetypes balance stats differently and some stats have diminishing returns. So Ace for example at most would only see a slight difference in stability as the range increase wouldn't even amount to 1 meter. * Performance-wise this would at worst in most if not every case undo several nerfs that are LONG overdue like with Thorn, especially if we compare exotics to the average stats you'll see before and after perks like Perpetual Motion * If this makes the gimmick too strong, that is literally just a minor nerf/ revert to the exotic part itself. * And it's worth noting more than a few exotics have disproportionately low stats compared to the rest of their archetypes or weapon types as a whole. Sunshot for example having 60 AA out of the 80-90 literally all other former 150s and Graviton Spike (a 150) have.

Maybe not tier 5, but the stat range definitely needs to be higher than it is currently. There was absolutely no good reason to restrict them to any "tier" level or remove the artifice slot.

7 Replies🤔 While I do think that Exotics should be able to reach Tier 5, I don’t think they should all inherently be Tier 5. I think the tier they drop at should be according to your power level similarly to how legendary armor drops. However, I’d be open to being able to upgrade exotic armor tiers with materials.

Yeah it's so stupid that they not only made exotics low tier but also are making us wait a year to get higher stat exotics with whatever over complicated system they probably come up with.

Have the difficulty options determine how high of a tier of exotic you can get. A master would give tier 3. Grandmaster would give tier 4. Ultimate would give tier 5. Also apply this to exotic guns. I would love a reason to chase rerolls of exotic guns. It’s been too long without exotics being exciting to get to drop.
