Use of vault isn’t working for me on Xbox Series X

Try this out: open the Character menu and press L3 to activate the Vault mode and select the weapon/armor piece you want to put in your Vault.

It’s a known bug and, while this should be a priority bug, Bungie has been unable to fix this with the last 2 patches…
