Seriously, that’s almost impressive how you’ve messed up the game so much that THIS happened.

16 RepliesIt never was an MMO to begin with, people called it that and Bungie never corrected them. It's just a shooter looter.

12 RepliesLiterally a year ago, this forum was filled with players complaining that Dual Destiny required a teammate to complete, and outrage about the Pale Heart co-op missions. There were accusations of raid exotics being "gate-kept" if you cant find a team to raid with. Countless threats of deleting the game because "Bungie doesnt care about solo players!!!"... I blame Bungie for bugs, error codes, and cheaters.... but this... this is what people asked for. I cringe whenever a see ppl demanding for Bungie to "listen to the players"... whenever they try to please one group, they upset another.

5 RepliesI love how whenever someone calls destiny an MMO the comments ignore the main point and immediately devolve to "erm achewlly" bros slamming their heads against keyboards. Waiting for them to go full pirate software and doodle in ms paint while regaining us with stories of the weekend they interned at blizzard. As if destiny wasn't comprible to defiance ,another console mmo, in its original state. Primary difference being it utilized smaller instances. I truly miss the days of patrolling . There's so many large scale public activities that are no longer relevant or even accessible in some cases.

I’m just baffled that Bungie saw the success of Solstice and went “Huh people are enjoying this, let’s not do that again”

1 ReplyMMO-lite at best Desting has never been an mmo. Too many missing features. Rising is unironically more of an mmo sadly

13 Replies<_< >_> This games a MMO?

Edited by Wounded Machine: 9/14/2025 5:19:14 PMIts not even a single player game RDR2 Is a single player game, with an immersive engaging story, with hours of content and replayability for one flat upfront price The Portal is a depressing Hamster wheel, to sell micro transactions

4 RepliesMaybe it was due to all of the cries for Bungie to make the game "solo-friendly."
-
For their next magic trick they'll subtract one.

FTMM in PvP. Everybody plays solo Q. Less opportunity to meet new like minded people to play with. Removal of the classic LFG app where people could say what they wanted. People playing Micless raids or just not bothering anymore. The Portal….. Presto. Goodbye friend game.

Bollo mate. It’s still there for fireteams.
-
For me, it might as well be an offline game as I don't do the raids etc. Then do a separate client for PVP and actually make it good.
-
A lot of folks did ask for a more robust selection of solo experiences (I know I wasn’t opposed to that), but I’m not certain it’s working as a solo game or an MMO at this stage. It’s all feeling a little lost and threadbare, like Bungie is feeling around in the dark.

Fireteam ops turned into a grind. Nowadays I can go on normal or advanced and have a hundred times better chance to survive.
-
My biggest reason I stopped playing fireteam ops is because of rewards I get by modifiers other players put on. I prefer A rewards but if reward score is impacted by reward pass its another big issue for free to play players. Important to note that I am free to play and not buying seasons anymore just because bungie not brings me enough trust on what they delivering and it will continue if they keep making game pay to win. If bungie will treat free to play players same like reward pass owners when they play activitys together that will bring them to play together more often but don't forget that bungie themself created this new broken system creating many annoying things and many reasons not to play together.
