Why is the reward package in a fireteam is different for each player
why is the reward different im 306 and my friends are 314 & 317 they get 3 plus level reward with an " A score " on the reward package and tier 3 gear and i get a 2 plus level reward with a "b+ score on the reward package and tier 2 gear.
can someone please explain why it is different

2 RepliesEdited by MNN8TV: 7/28/2025 3:48:25 AMBungie wants to “encourage” us to use new gear. So new gear grants more score per armor AND weapon. Also raising damage and damage resistance as well. Of course when it’s not the “Avant Garde” modifier and we even get a choice. So the grade for all players will vary slightly based on their gear. Light level of drops is based on the person receiving the rewards. Basically the only thing that makes sense.

Your score multiplier is lower than theirs - You can raise this by ensuring your gear is infused as well as have an equal or greater amount of new gear compared to your friends, or ask them to throw on another modifier or ask them to let you host if you have a lower multiplier if you’re getting A rank - they should too if you’re all relatively in the same power band
