Honestly, it's pretty mediocre. This campaign is pretty middling. The Mattermorph nonsense is, well, nonsense. New enemies ain't particularly new. (Future encounters notwithstanding). If this is something that's suppose to retain our interest, and attract new players, I hope the rumors aren't true and this is actually a large, robust addition to the game.
So far, I ain't feeling it.

I find it all quite ironic. For years I felt D2 was being pushed by Bungie to be a game best watched and not played. They use content creators to explain the game to us. It's lore, its characters, it's systems... Contest mode pushed me out of the raid race and into the spectators seat. I did not purchase Edge. Well, I did... and refunded. My will is my own. The best part of the game has always been it's shooting mechanic and the idea it was world building... so what do they do? They move away from that, creating pockets of shooting gameplay within forced areas of problem- solving navigation in the form of marble madness. I personally hate matterspark. I wouldn't like replaying the only new content in the game over and over again. It boring and tedious to me. Only to be reset in six months. At this point Bungie is chasing $ so hard they've lost the core. Maybe, it should be rebranded, DE$TINY. However, I saved myself money, hours of grind and am happy to report. I thought the story was fine. A night and day difference to something like the money grab of lightfall or even the stupidity of Shadowkeep. Edges narrative seems pretty well executed... And the kicker? Bungie was right! It took me maybe an hour. I consumed it all for free and i enjoyed it! Destiny, for me in 2025, is a game I would rather watch than play. That's me. I do not begrudge anyone who finds it fun. I know I did through Taken king/ Witch Queen. And then, I just couldn't stop. Edge is the perfect train stop for me to stop playing. See you on the YouTube in six months... You'll know every inch of Kepler by then😉 Well done bungo!
