Game freezes and hard crashes XBOX Series X
While fighting the Barricade Mind on Kepler, my game froze and completely crashed after throwing a dusk field nade at it. There were also some harpies next to it when this happened.

Happened to me 3 times already. Xbox series x. Once in a solo ops and twice in a multiplayer game

1 ReplyMy game froze, then flickered, and then went back to thw xmb on my series x. I thought it was the system itself, but my series x was reall, really hot. Like hot to the touch.

Hard Crashed another time. I will refuse to play the game untill this problem is fixed. I do not want to break my console by constantly overheating it.

Yep the game crashed for me for the first time at the final boss of the new campaign.

Glad to see I’m not the only one. I have had a crash on every mission when you have to fight a large group of enemies.

I play solo and never happened on Solo Ops, just on campaign missions. I've never had a hard crash playing Destiny and I've been playing it since 2014. This is not normal.

1 ReplyMine freezes constantly upon start up. Ive done all i could with troubleshooting. A few times it gets me to the sign in phase, and then it will sit on "connecting" and just tell me i need to be signed into a profile.... even though im signed into a profile...

YUP. I've had crashes happening on PlayStation all day, all at random times. Twice now the game crashes before I can even select a character. Something weird is going on.

Same here, hopefully fixed soon. happened 3 times so far. i thought it was an issue with too much going on on the screen, but it just dashboarded looking at a harpy, so seems random

I've crashed 7 times today all during devil's lair and battlegrounds, all at random points each time the game freezes then comes back audio mutes and then instant crash I've uninstalled reinstalled and cleared cache so don't blame us it's the game !

No notification to rejoin previous session either. Destiny 2 is also making the console run hot too. Tried with other games for extended gameplay on highest video settings with no issues. Update: this is now happening when playing solo. Some response from Bungie to any of the comments within this thread, other than "clear cache", as it evidently does not work and is a game issue, would be nice.

I can’t do the portal missions, the new activity on Kepler, or replay missions cuz it keeps crashing randomly and sending me to console homepage. Would really like to be able to play the game I paid for

Very frustrating since you have to rerun the whole mission because there seem to be no checkpoint. Clearing the cache didn’t do anything…game keeps crashing. I‘m not gonna sit here and wait 6-8 hours redownloading the game just to find out that it didn’t work either.

Game crashes during some boss fights. I noticed during the message mission. Every time I kill and explosive shanks during the 2nd phase, I crash. Solution was to not kill the shanks and carefully kill the boss. Now I have the archon. Apparent cause is killing a captain. At least I can use a checkpoint. Running on legendary difficulty.

El problema es que al hacer la misión, el juego se traba dos veces y a continuación, el juego se cierra y me manda al menú de inicio de mi xbox series s. He tratado de hacer la misión varias veces, pero sigue fallando, y siempre se cierra justamente en la parte de la misión donde aparece la Hija "traidora", exactamente en el diálogo que dice "algún día caerás por tu imprudencia, pero hoy no". Siempre se traba en ese momento y me resulta imposible avanzar, espero una pronta respuesta, gracias

Literally happened last night on the final campaign boss on legendary, and everyone else's mission cleared but mine. Was trying to get back into the mission and arrived for the cut scene. Now I have to redo that mission, and been crashing like crazy again today.

I managed to stop the crashes by turning the in-game audio very low and letting my speakers do the work.

This is going to sound dumb. Put your xbox in a position where you can point a small fan at it and have it blow at the xbox. Whatever they did in the EOF expansion it's overheating consoles. That's the crash.
