If proper attempts at games archival was implemented we would have access to all of destiny.... imagine the whole of destiny playable at any time there would be so many more people playing.....
Also sign the petition, cast your votes....if the gaming community can save GameStop for the memes we can change gaming for the better for the world....

Game preservation laws should not be counted for live service games or mmo games as the servers cost money to run and if they are forced to maintain a server for essentially free that just hurts the business long term. For instance you cant expect a game on a mega server to stay on and playable if the game itself no longer makes enough revenue as it would be constant loss of money and devs that could otherwise be working on other projects. For single player absolutely have game preservation laws but for online ones it's just not fair on the studio that has to foot the bill without any good financial return. Forcing a studio to maintain a dead game would only result in layoffs and studio closures. Now yes they could find ways to offset it for games on cheaper servers great but for games on dedicated servers its just not viable without layoffs to cover costs.
