Why is lfg populated with some of the worst players in Destiny
Why is it so hard to find a group that actually is committed to doing the content and staying the course instead of just ducking out after one wipe answer me that bungee community

Personally, I think it's similar to the "birds of a feather..." statement. Good players, or what others may consider good players, find other good players and stick together to run content. Since these players rely on one another, they often times don't use LFG. This then leaves the less-than-good players in the LFG pool to form their own fireteams, which can lead to issues of frustration for certain players.

2 RepliesInstead of using lfg to do raids use lfg to find like minded people and create a dedicated group. I’m also in the same boat so I’m trying to find solo players to add and make our own raid team

The days of the proto-typical D1 Grinder are gone. It's a toxic company catering to single minded players who want the least amount of effort to attain maximum rewards The best counter to this is to join a good clan which will alleviate the strain of having to rely on annoying New Lights that can easily ruin a run

for me once I knew how smooth runs could go and that there are chill people out there who make a run fun on top of that. I also had to learn there's a lot of people just muted in discord speedrunning their own thing and lash at people that don't know the speedrun strat. i guess what I'm trying to say is that, you have a very wide variety of people you can meet. and for some which includes me, i don't get along with 80% of them so finding my prefered type of people is like a diamond in the rough. I've had great and also awful experiences and I wish I had a solution but I just think getting a solid solution going is very hard.

I've had great experiences with LFG, but the fact remains, playerse who have large communities that play a lot of end game content rarely need to utilize it, thus the LFG pool is more satuarated with less experienced players. Bad players with bad attitudes (IE quitters) can't find a community; so they have to resort to LFG

1 ReplyBecause people expect an easy one go run. It’s not as simple as jumping in a fireteam with random team mates and expecting it to get done. Communication, teamwork, good chemistry all tie into it This is also the reason why I will not play with anyone but my clan mates and my friends. Avoid the headache completely by staying away from the LFGing. Did it once. Will never do it again. I have the worst luck with getting people. Sticking to clans/friends sometimes works out in the end but all depends on how much good chemistry you got with them

6 Repliesim shocked that people cant even be bothered to use voice chat for lfg anymore. i did a salvations edge last week and thought surely they would want to chat because of how tough that raid is but even then, people would rather communicate through text chat than talk to eachother in game chat or discord. EVEN AT VERITY we did it by TYPING THE GHOSTS TO REVIVE INTO GAME CHAT lmao.

Maybe create the team, then put in the chat as you invite themm that you need them to speak before you launch, or they'll get booted? I know it's already hard to find 6 players to join in the first place.

3 RepliesPlayers in this community are usually looking for the easiest way to completion. When they realize that its not going to happen immediately, they leave to find the players who will carry them. Thats the LFG system in a nutshell. In order to get the most out of it, expect to do all or most of the work, and hope that you dont have players actively trying to sabotage the run.
