Destiny 2 is slowly dying

I love this game, but its dying. I've played it since it first launched on B.net and have followed it through its crazy journey. I have one RL friend that has always played with me out of my group of 10 RL gamer friends and these are the two main problems: 1) Non-linear story. I've had 4/4 friends try to get into the game but stopped after a day or two because the story is too confusing for new light players to follow. If you want new player to enjoy the game, they need to experience it the way I did. They need to fully complete the Red War Campaign every single step through to the Final Shape/Current Content. Its hard for players to feel invested in new content/story/lore when they have no idea wtf is happening. Its also crazy that 90% of that content is not available to customers that paid for it. 2) The interface. The interface system in the game is so convoluted and needlessly frustrating that it deters new players. You want to get in a group? "Use Destiny discord". Want to change your gear? "Better use DIM" Want to see what the weekly bonus's are? "Better use Blueberries.gg". I feel these are the two main items the hold Destiny back from its destiny. Without new players, the old players will slowly dwindle as their social groups pull them into other games. You see it even with popular Destiny 2 streamers these days. Fix Destiny 2 or make Destiny 3 fresh with these and more changes.

One would think that after the last 10 years with monthly and yearly "this game is dying" posts that you'd think people would stop making these.
1) Non-linear story.
Did they not learn how to read what the quest steps are for the story? Also, the game is 10 years old. I highly doubt they care if anyone new is playing a game after 10 years and can't figure out how to follow quest steps. This constant whining and demanding that subpar content like the red war its dlcs be returned is pointless. The content has no relevance to the current game and does nothing other than bring in pointless nostalgia. None of which brings them in money. You also seem to be one of those people who forget that you fully agreed that they could remove content at any point.
2) The interface. There's literally things in the game to get into groups, so there's no need to use Discord. You definitely don't need to use DIM to change your gear unless you have no clue how to change what you currently have on you or how to use your easily accessible vault. And you definitely don't need to use some website to figure out things that are in the game that you can just use your own eyes to find. If someone hasn't started playing it until now and then has all these user error issues that you brought up, then that's their own fault and not bungie's.
Fix Destiny 2 or make Destiny 3 fresh with these and more changes.
All of the changes you've listed aren't a waste of time and money are their part and there is no need to make a 3rd game just to force everyone to restart yet again and re-earn everything that they currently have.

        • Snickers is looking like it’ll crash and burn. That’ll probably put Destiny out of its misery when Sony shutters Bungie.

          1. So the red war up to forsaken will NEVER come back. Unless they build it from the ground up on the updated version of the game engine. 2. They are in the middle of a lawsuit right now for stealing the storyline of red war and CoO. It isnt looking good for them at the moment either. They were required to show proof and could not and there explanation was....bc they dont have a working version of that segment of the game. So the judge dismaissed their request for dimissal. 3. They are updating the entire ui with the release of EoF.
